SaleI'm not exactly sure what the occasion is, but there's a pretty crazy number of high profile iOS games on sale at the moment. Well, I guess being the App Store and all, you don't really need a reason to have a sale. Still, something seems up with all these games going on sale today of all days. Perhaps an Apple feature or something? Whatever the case, if you've been waiting to pick any or all of these title up, now is a good time to do so.

If you spot any other noteworthy sales, feel free to fire off in the comments and let everyone know.

Pretty epic sale! Alas, I own almost all of them haha

  • vicsark

Add Ravenmark: Scourge of Estellion 9.99 ->2.99

Bought it, The Room 2, Battle supremacy, Epoch 2 today 🙂

I still haven't finished the room 1, and was pretty sure Room 2 would be on sale, but didn't think I'd grab it at 99c this quickly O_o
I'll look into Duet game too, looks cool

  • lll Anubis lll

I now own all of these games on the list, mwahaha. Goodbye life.

  • xx99

Duet is awesome — highly recommended for people who like games like Super Hexagon or Super Meat Boy. Finally picking up XCOM, even though I know it's not the first time it's been on sale. Have most of the rest already.

  • johnpc121

Well only a few weeks ago I bought half of these at full price lol, it's ok they're still worth it!

  • dancj

I snagged Epoch 2 and Shadow Blade.

I would have bought The Room 2, but it's at that $1/£1/€1 pricing tier that I refuse to support. (It really hurt not buying it 🙁 )

    • Pray For Death

What does that even mean... You refuse to support devs at full price, and also refuse to support $1 discounts?

      • Scot Damn

        Yeah that's some strange logic..

      • xx99

Waiting for that magic $1.99 price point?

      • dancj

Considering that I'm always struggling to find the time to play all of the games I get cheap or free I don't feel the need to "support the devs" by paying more than I need to.

I would happily buy the game at the proper $1/£0.69/€0.?? pricing tier (and I might have bought it for $2/£1.50), but the $1/£1/€1 tier seems to be specifically designed to punish non-Americans and I'm having nothing to do with it.

      • pajman sarafzadeh

        lol, good luck

      • xx99

        Ah, I understand now.

      • lll Anubis lll

I know what you mean, I've seen a lot of complaints lately in the digital games market about that. 1 American dollar isn't worth the same as 1 euro, yet the pricing tier acts like they are equal. I'm not sure if the devs decide that or not, if they do then you should send them a message and try to make them understand that they are not equal. Anyways, good luck to you friend.

      • dancj

It is something the devs choose. The standard $1 pricing tier is the fair £0.69 and less than a Euro (not sure exactly how much) - but devs can choose instead to go for a $1/£1/€1 tier - which makes no sense to me.

      • Anthony

Okay, so I took a micro. econ. class and from what I understand this is done because consumers begin to demand the price. The way it works out in the end means the product will earn more even though it doesn't necessarily sell more.

Also, from everything I've heard the Room Two is amazing (I haven't had a chance to play it). I'll paypal you like $1.50 if you are really serious about this.

      • dancj

It's not the money. If there was a $1.50/£1/€1 pricing tier I'd happily buy the game and I have about £20 sat in my iTunes account. I just just refuse to support an unfair tier.

      • Pray For Death

Ahhhh ok, that makes a lot more sense. Yeah I agree, charging $1 and €1 for the same app needs to stop

      • B1GW1G

Well duh, it costs a lot to send it overseas on the Internet superhighway.

  • falco

I already have five games on this list. I bought Epoch 2, about to finish the first one right now a good ios game and still not sure if I should buy Duet Game...

    • falco

Ahh well I bought Duet Game too 🙂

      • lll Anubis lll

I recently bought it full price and loved it! Good decision!

    • rewind

It's one hell of a game...

  • bhornburg

GDC is coming up in two weeks. I'm guessing people want their games up in the App Store charts when they're talking about new stuff and sequels their studios are working on.

  • Jason Flor Flook

ff4 for 8 bucks is a decent deal.

  • somedumbgamer

    Duet is the shiznit!

  • Psac42

Very much enjoyed Horn, recommend taking a look if you haven't.

XCOM is well worth $10 by any standard.

  • maxo220

I bought Scourge of Estellion. Had it on Appshopper waiting for it to drop. I can't recommend Duet hard enough. It's one of my favorite iOS games ever if not my favorite and at a dollar is a steal!

  • Scot Damn

My subjective opinion says it's because of the amazing releases that launched and are launching this week. Gotta stay competitive! But maybe I'm blind to something else. Either way, it's an expensive, yet great week to be an iOS gamer.

  • Scot Damn

Ski Safari: Adventure Time ($1.99) is free in the US and Canada through a cartoon network deal. It's in the price drop forum with a link. I'd post a link here but, TA won't allow it.

    • Chungston

Thanks for the heads up scot

  • anarchy in the app store

Oh hey! XCOM is on sale for the millionth time!

  • Jake7905

Too many good games, but not too many dollars left on my ITunes account.

  • CooleTeeps

This morning I got The Room Two but it kept going from $3 to $1, and when it was $1 a notification would pop up saying it is being modified!

  • diaskeaus

Ravenmark: Scourge of Estellan, and Mission Europa Collection are also on sale.

  • HelperMonkey

*obligatory generic complaint about Limbo review*

  • Fi Delta

    Ravenmark $2.99
    Waking Mars $0.99
    Abducted $0.99

  • ZarieoZ

Just discovered these sales are part of the Amazing Hardcore games by Apple.

  • defunct32
