A couple of days ago, we detailed the brand new update for Noodlecake's Super Stickman Golf 2 [$0.99], and also mentioned that along with the new update the game would be dropping to free for a limited time. Well, consider this your official notice: as of right now, Super Stickman Golf 2 is available for free in the App Store. This is the first time the game has been free since launching in March of last year, and the latest update includes all sorts of cool stuff like new courses, new multiplayer options and more. Here's a glimpse at one of the new courses which is based on Team Meat's popular platformer Super Meat Boy.

If this is the first you've heard of the Super Stickman Golf series, you're missing out. At its hear it's a physics puzzler based loosely around the rules of golf. You're trying to get your ball in each hole in as few attempts as possible, while negotiating the crazy environments of each course. It's a stellar single-player experience, but Super Stickman Golf 2 really shines as a multiplayer game. You can play turn-based as you might expect a golfing game to be played, but the real-time multiplayer where you're racing against ghosts of up to three other players online (or seven locally) vying to be first to get your ball in the cup is some of the most manic fun you can have on mobile. Trust me, take Super Stickman Golf 2 for a spin while it's free, you won't be disappointed.

This game was worth paying for you'd be a fool not to get it free.

Thanks TouchArcade. Great heads up!!!! A great game. Those who have not played it yet just don't know what they miss.

Bought it at release and never regretted it since. So much fun to play alone, and/or in multiplayer. Both MP modes are fun, and I've never heard a title theme that catchy.
    Go for it!

  • mclifford82

It feels so good to wait and get the game for free.

    • rich_952000

It also feels good to get them when they come out, pay for them, have no ads, support hard-working developers etc. but, to each his own.

      • Mess

        This.

Whatever. I don't disagree, but especially with the holiday sales, I have about a dozen games sitting untouched on my iPad that I won't get to in a while. A new game may come out that looks great, but I know it will be months before I have time, so I wait. More often than not, I get it cheaper when I get closer to actually playing it.
Its the danger of releasing games into a market that is teeming with great titles, and the reason Steam sales are such a popular thing.

      • mclifford82

Oh, I do that too. Just not here. More often than not I'm on the end watching others get for free what I spent money on the day before. And I'm fine with that (with a couple exceptions).

That doesn't change the fact that I'm happy to get an awesome game for free. I do love how this is the only gaming market where you are demonized for being happy you saved some money.

      • rich_952000

No, not demonized, just commented on. To each his own, as I stated. I've literally picked up hundreds of games for free, but I'm not sitting around waiting for them to go free. That seems tedious and cheap.

It actually takes zero effort with such wonderful things like TouchArcade's very own watch feature.

        Saving money is saving money.

One of my favorite games on iOS and one of the best multiplayer experiences period.

Only one drawback - course packs are locked behind the need to level up. That's just silly, it means you either have to grind for experience or in essence buy some in-game currency with IAP that can be used to level up immediately.
I've played quite a bit of multiplayer and finished with a gold star all the levels (excluding impossible land...) and I reached level 19. However the new courses require level 20 xp so I now have to grind quite a bit to play them.

Completing courses should be enough to unlock a new course pack, like in the original game.

Strange but its always been free on Android as far as I know.

  • Ramaz1234

This game is so freaking fun!

Does anyone know how to delete challenge matches?

    • Ryan Holowaty

If you are trying to delete or decline a challenge, just tap the challenge in the list and you should be able to hit Decline.
