Here’s one for the ages. Right now, Ubisoft’s masterful mobile Rayman game Rayman Jungle Run ($2.99) is free for the first time ever. I mean, it’s been 99¢ plenty of times before, which for the quality of the game might as well be free, but this is as free as it’ll ever get. Rayman Jungle Run launched last year and took all the impressive visuals and whimsy of its console big brother and packed it into a mobile auto-runner. This wasn’t just “another endless runner" though, as the level design is outstanding in Jungle Run, and it’s simply a joy to play while still being incredibly challenging. The sky high production values are just the icing on the cake.

Apple chose Rayman Jungle Run as their Game of the Year in 2012, and we loved it in our review as well. If you somehow haven’t bought it by now, then definitely jump all over the opportunity to grab it for free. If you enjoy it, I can also highly recommend its sequel, Rayman Fiesta Run ($2.99), which just launched just last month, and maintains the high quality of the original while offering all new levels and features. They’re both about as “must own" as iOS games get, so at the very least take advantage of the freebie for Rayman Jungle Run While you can.
