As we mentioned earlier this morning, Apple is streaming their keynote live for everyone with a Mac that can run Safari, any iOS device running iOS 4.6 or later, or an Apple TV. If you're at work, or somewhere else that you can't actively stream it, no big deal. Our sister site MacRumors is doing a live blog.

Otherwise, mash this link and head over to Apple's streaming site. We'll be watching too, so feel free to go nuts in the comments as they finally reveal iOS 7 game controllers. (Right guys? ...Right?!) Seriously though, I'm really looking forward to a Retina iPad Mini, the form factor is fantastic. We'll do more posts as things happen, but, the live stream is definitely the place to be.

  • Kane

    OOOOOh yeaaaaaa!

  • Bryno

    OHHHH KILL EMM!!

    • sleb

      Says will be available shortly.

  • Thunder13

Here come the new MBP's :)

  • sakara214ever

Not streaming live. Says will be available soon.

    • Thunder13

      Did you refresh Apple's page?

  • marc0313

....so, better iPad mini? That's it?

    • Taclys

      Did you even watch it?

      • iosgaminggamer

And new macs and new iPad and Mavericks

  • PresidentZer0

Wow. Nothing about mfi controllers and only a7 for the iPad and not the a7x? Wtf

    • araczynski

gotta milk the fanboys for a couple months before releasing the a7x model in march :)

      • Jay G

You really are a fountain of negativity.

      • araczynski

Fountain: yes, as well as a very good filter for taking the sugar/coloring out of the water that they feed through it :)

  • sleb

The new IPad looks awesome!!. Now I have to get the new mini with the a7 chip.

    • sleb

iPad air starts at 499, new mini with retina display starts at 399. Both have a7 chip.

      • themostunclean

I know, awesome! It's now really a mini current ipad instead of a shrunk down iPad 2. It has exactly the same specs as the iPad air (correct me if I'm wrong) but cheaper. I was going to go for the regular iPad cuz I thought the mini would be gimped somehow but now I'm reconsidering. Would be much better for my budget.

      • rewyan

Good choice, because then you won't feel ripped off when some "newer" iPad comes out in 6 months.

  • tinkie277

    Gutted.

  • Nick

Huh. That was a very unimpressive keynote.

Seems like I'll certainly be sticking with my iPad 4 for at least another year, probably longer.

    But for people with a 2/3 it's huge, just like the 4s --> 5s

    • thecool111

      I agree, very disappointed.

      • themostunclean

Don't know why. It's been pretty well known since a month ago what they'd be announcing today. If anything, you should have been disappointed back then.

      • themostunclean

Also, I was very happy to see that the mini is now a proper, fully featured ipad.

  • Phantom Bruiser

    No fucking controllers.

    • Nick

Oh right! I guess apple is clearly telling us by not saying anything that controller support is far from important.

      • PresidentZer0

This is great for consumers who still have no fn clue when to expect controller and great for devs because no whey won't give a shit about updating their apps with controller support. Yeah.

  • thecool111

Why is the ipad 2 still selling?

  • https://www.facebook.com/DigitalDistillery Scot Damn

So a bigger display for $200 more....

iPad Mini Retina is the obvious value. Note so impressed with the "Air".

    • themostunclean

$100 dollars more. New mini now starts at $399 and the Air at $499.

      • https://www.facebook.com/DigitalDistillery Scot Damn

        Yep, I already edited it.

      • themostunclean

OK. Saw your comment before the edit. Sorry.

I think $100 for larger screen size is pretty reasonable. Beats the insane price hikes these models have for storage. Maybe someone can explain to me how memory is so damn cheap when buying independent storage devices yet once it's fit into an iPad, it's worth more than its weight in gold.

      • https://www.facebook.com/DigitalDistillery Scot Damn

I agree. $100 more for a larger screen is reasonable. My initial comment was thinking it was $200 more. For me, I can't afford $499 to drop on the new Air, but might be able to squeeze $399 for a Mini, and I think that was an excellent decision on Apples part to have a more affordable options that is still a tablet but has retina and the new A7. Good times all around!

      • Sven Van de Perre

Yeah. That mini is the new iOS device to get.

  • blackout845

    No controllers, apple your funny

  • HardyRawls

    Red iPad cases? Holy shit!

  • araczynski

big let down on the ipad, basically it took them ALL this time to figure out how to stick an iphone5 (well, most of it, sans fingerprint/phone) into an ipad case and brag about it... did they outsource this revision?

  • https://www.facebook.com/DigitalDistillery Scot Damn

Also it's weird that the iPad 2 is for sale for the same price as a retina 64 bit A7 Mini, both $399..

    • LeeDot

What exactly is 'hipster' about the Mac Pro? It's not like anyone is going to be taking it to a cafe or in public to show off. Is there something particularly cool about having a huge tower case that's a pain in the ass to move? I do a lot of graphics work and I have to say having to move full on production gear around is a pain in the ass so having something that's powerful and light is pretty damn nice.

      • https://www.facebook.com/DigitalDistillery Scot Damn

Good for you! In case you missed it, the new Pro is super small compared to the old Pro. Also, I won't go into defining what a hipster is. But I will say that people who can actually use this Pro to it's ability and strengths is not a "hipster". Perhaps the term I was looking for was "Elitist". I have plenty of friends who use Mac Pros to their strengths and know of plenty who don't. Please don't let my random comment offend.

      • LeeDot

I did catch that it's super small, that's why I was commenting on what a pain in the ass it is to move / store tower cases. I'm not really offended, it just seems like most people who have an issue with the new mac pro seem to take it as a knee jerk reaction to it not having the same big box design as every work station in the past and I don't understand why.

      • https://www.facebook.com/DigitalDistillery Scot Damn

It could have something to do with it being drastically different from the norm. Just a shot in the dark.

I'm not sure if you're insinuating this but I don't have an issue with the new Pro. Just to clarify, I think it's a fine piece of tech.

  • 2banrey7

Going to stick with my ipad 4 until there is a MAJOUR change to them like glow in the dark or iPad 3d

    • PresidentZer0

Exactly... iPad air with a7x in March...yeaaaah -.-

  • renatpl

I'll switch from an iPad 4 to a mini with retina. Space grey because yeah.

  • vic_viper_001

So, err... No news about iOS 7.0.3 or 7.1... unless I'm missing something. That sucks.

    • vic_viper_001

Hmm... wait a sec, 7.0.3 IS here.

      • https://www.facebook.com/DigitalDistillery Scot Damn

Sweet. I just checked and sure enough, it's there!

  • blackbear219

It should be the iPad4 for $399, not the iPad2. Why the hell are they keeping that thing around?

I'm a full size guy, but a retina mini with an A7 sounds really nice.

  • PresidentZer0

Next year they will launch the iPad pro with 10-13 inch and the a7x. just like the MacBooks they will have air and pro....

  • Sven Van de Perre

Not a word on games, nothing about controllers. If you need me Mr Cook, I'll be in my shabby little office, creating that type of apps that generates the biggest part of you hardware and software sales.

No, seriously, game devs are due for an event that puts them in the spotlight.

Say TA guys, why don't you start an i3. You know, E3, but purely for iOS games?

    • PresidentZer0

Right, sadly devs will even care less now for their games...

      • Sven Van de Perre

Well, I care a whole lot. Aple really changed the game. Without iOS, the indie-game revival would be a lot smaller. But for all their super polished software, hardware and services, they can do better on the games front.

Maybe their behaviour is a counterweight to games being the dominant revenue generator. They want their devices to be known for 'you can do everything with it', right?

I was really, REALLY hoping for Oceanhorn playable with a controller.

On a side-note: man, that ipad mini looks super sweet.

  • szydab1

    Jailbreak soon :)

  • rabidnz

Why would anyone watch these spouts of advertising drivel. When you can wait an hour, read one paragraph, and know exactly what facts were sugarcoated and fed to the people with too much time on their hands

    • blackbear219

Trolling people for having too much time on their hands on a mobile gaming forum. You just won at the internet.

    • https://www.facebook.com/DigitalDistillery Scot Damn

Why would anyone spend time commenting about said advertising drivel. When you can wait an hour, and spend exactly zero time not commenting on things that have little interest to you?

      Weird people indeed, eh?
