This is a weird one, because it plays very similarly to PikPok's Into the Dead [Free] which is another highly atmospheric first-person runner. The main difference here is that this game has mummies. Is that worth a $1.99 premium over Into the Dead? Hard to say, I guess it depends how much you hate zombies and how much you love Egyptian stuff.

Escape from Doom should be available tonight at 11:00 PM Eastern, or potentially earlier depending on what part of the world you're in. To see what our community is saying about the game, stop by the thread in our forums.

So this is a freemium game but with a $2 price tag?

    • Scot Damn

See I think just because a game has IAP doesn't automatically make it a "freemium" game. But what I'm saying is, any console or PC game has progressive game play just like this does. Maybe we're too quick to point a game out as such. If it has a pay wall or entirely unbalanced currency earning, than I can most definitely see that view.

Aren't mummies just old school zombies?

Edit: You guys said the same thing pretty much.

And if you hated Into The Dead for no other reason other than developers of zombie games are unimaginative schlubs, then you'll hate this dog of a title as well.

So basically it's a brighter version of Into The Dead that has a $2 tag on it and a little more unpolished.

I think based on how the stuffs are showing up on screen it doesn't look as good as into the dead.. The mummies looked like zombie cowboys.
