What's left to say? Infinity Blade is one of the biggest (if not THE biggest) franchises on the App Store, and the final entry in the epic trilogy Infinity Blade III [$6.99] is now available to download. We've already posted our full review, noting that once again the Infinity Blade series has marked the graphical benchmark for iOS games, but also that it brings even more of the fantastic one-on-one battling that has defined the series for the past three years. It's more Infinity Blade, but bigger, better and more beautiful than it's ever been.

Also worth noting is that the storyline for the Infinity Blade series has evolved over the course of three games and two novels to the point that it's actually incredibly engrossing. Yes, a mobile game has a great storyline, who knew? If you haven't kept up with the story of Infinity Blade check out our Plot Guide which covers most of what you need to know through the first two games and the first book, but holds back some stuff that should become clear with the second book and Infinity Blade III. Whether you're here for the story, for the combat, for the graphics, or a mixture of everything, grab Infinity Blade III right now and drop by the forums to share in the discussion with our excited iOS gaming community.

Instabuy purchased and downloading now... The legend returns!!!!

  • luffy246

Oh really ? I noticed that 3 hours earlier than TA , what a joke LOL

    • Jake7905

Some people do sleep. Besides, TA had the review posted, as well as an in-depth story guide, before the game was even released. I'd call that excellent coverage.

    • Brown Cow

God, I hate human beings sometimes. So much.

    • Chester_Copperpot

Oh, really? Go show your mom this post so she can see how great you are.

  • tinkie277

I have never played Infinity Blade, but picked them up while they were freebies... Just installed the first two, been playing the first, does the story keep looping until you beat the boss?

    • JetLinerSaw

Yes, until you kill the god king you will be required to loop. It's actually a core concept of the series but done very well. After you beat him, make sure you find your way down to the dungeon where the podium is. Enjoy mate!

      • tinkie277

It's actually more addictive than you think, I actually find myself wanting to defeat him now, I can see my character improving on each bloodline.

I am quite impressed, I wanted a decent game to get stuck into.

        I might of found it.

      • JetLinerSaw

If you enjoy the story aspect as well (even though it isn't near as prevalent in the first) you would definitely love reading the novellas that take place in between each game. I actually just the other day convinced myself to read them prior to ib3 and it lets you see the scope of the whole universe and allows you to really dive into the lore behind it. It only gets better, friend!

      • tinkie277

Heh, thank you very much for the info. I keep going back for another fight.... At least the IAP aren't in your face on this.

  • oooooomonkey

Infinity what? GTAV Is here that's all i care about. :p

    • JetLinerSaw

If only I wasn't out of town visiting my mother... Lol in this case it's a damn good replacement!

    • somedumbgamer

      Couldn't agree more.

      • somedumbgamer

Oops. Meant to reply to ooooooomonkeys post above.

  • cozmic0

IB 3 also has a very non essential IAP in the same vein as PvZ2, but here we don't have anyone whining or threatening boycott over it unlike PvZ2, why?

Double standard or just blind nerd hate to EA?

    • Jake7905

      A little bit of both.

      • nini

        Or just both.

  • TuffBandito

How's it look on the 4S? I still haven't "finished" IF2 and I've got a few more weeks until I can upgrade my phone. Should I wait?

    • Jake7905

It runs great on a 4s, just as smooth as IB 2. Though I'm sure it looks best on the newest hardware.

    • JohnTS

Ah this is great news to me. I'm on a 4s as well.

  • HelperMonkey

How much space do I need to have available to download this bad boy?

    • JetLinerSaw

Around 3 gigs free depending on the device. But yea 3's a safe number, due to data compression (or lack thereof) and what have you.

  • worldcitizen1919

Thanks TA for letting us know. Still sweating on Fifa 14. Like that they added a female character but is there enough different other than a different skin. Don't fancy paying just for a new skin.

  • istako

Any word on size - downloaded file and installed? I have only 1 gig free, I gotta remove some stuff, but I have to know how much space I need beforehand. Can someone post?

    • Jake7905

It's 2.1 installed, but you'll probably need double that free if you download directly to your device.

  • InkyTheGhost

Psyched for this more than anything ever on ios.
My favorite thing about the IB series is the story. And my favorite thing about the story is that what originally feels like fantasy is gradually revealed to be sci-fi.
    Brilliant. Read the books.

    • Snipyro12

Gotta say I found the original IB incredibly boring, but after reading the first novella, I was hooked onto the plot. Loved the second one that just came out and now I'm heavily invested into the series. It's surprising for me - I own a 3DS and a Vita so most iOS games don't compare at all when I want portable gaming (I've mostly given up on iOS gaming after the rise in freemium titles). IB is the only exception!

      • InkyTheGhost

Totally. Honestly this is one my favorite series on any platform.

  • somedumbgamer

I couldn't care less. The first two were way too repetitive for my liking, but hope everyone else enjoys it. I believe gameplay is what makes a game great, not mostly just fancy graphics. Just not a big fan of the whole concept: swipe, swipe, tap, swipe...wash, rinse, repeat, yawn.

    • darkcheetah

It's really the only logical way to make a true "touch based" fighting game. I mean every fireball in the history of fighting games was down, diagonal, forward+punch or kick. That's what fighting games are, repetition.

      • Goggles789

And fun repetition, I might add! Really enjoying IB3 so far. The opening cinematic was very engaging, as well as the opening scene between the God King and Worker. A part of me misses the strange language they used in the first game...that really added a lot of mystery for me. Gameplay-wise, while its the same old IB it actually feels a lot tighter and well groomed. Very fun and engaging overall!

I'm totally with you on game play making a game. I believe the graphics can only enhance the experience. However I think the game play in this is actually quite fun, probably due to the super tight controls and direct nature of your swipes. I guess what I like is the timing element backed by the upgradable weapons in it. I think this is the pinnacle of fighting gaming on a touch screen device. It''s just so damn intuitive.

I think IB is the perfect example of quality graphics, tight, intuitive controls, and simple yet purposeful game play all balanced into one fantastic game. Sure if it was just fighting by swipes alone it would get repetitive (much like the imitators) but IB keeps things fresh enough with magic attacks and all those freakin weapons, not to mention the dude you play is just a bad ass.

Really though, IB is the game you show your Android buddies that Apple iOS products can pull off some sick gaming.

  • Goggles789

There's something about the male leads eyes that make them look extra wide, like he's in a perpetual, yet subtle, form of surprise.

  • phonecats

infinity blade is candy crush for boys.

    • ImJPaul

Haha. This is so true. I'm sure when me and my girlfriend get in "nerd mode" ill bust this out while shell undoubtedly bust out candy crush.

  • hourglass

It was released ten hours ago. I was actually going to rely on TA to tell me when it was released, but then I checked my Twitter and saw that it was released with not a word from TA.

  • MkRwilliams

    Anyone heard of Kuaiyong?...

  • adventvalor

Is anyone else dealing with a looping issue once u start it up. I actually requested a refund because its apparently picky about the hardware it runs on. Oh well guess I'll rebuy it once it hits .99 or free. Tried to support them at full price :(

    • djmuzi

      Yeah ... Infinity Loop 3 ... Crap...

  • wo1f

This sucks. It doesn't work on iPod 4g. Iv been lied too! I seriously almost cried. I want to play this game
