PureGear Retro Game iPhone Cases Let You Play Games With Zero Battery

amazing2We don’t usually post about iPhone cases, but these are pretty clever in that they’re actually games in case form. So, in the event that you’re totally out of battery and still want to play a game, you can wind the clocks back to the days of only having enough tickets at the arcade for a spider ring and the ball maze.

Pure Gear is selling them for $29.99 and they actually come in three varieties: The maze you see here, a circular multi-ball puzzle, and a Plinko-style Magic 8 ball question answering thing. 9 to 5 Mac has a review up of the cases, and they’re “incredibly pleased" with them, although the side angle shot does make it look a little thick for my tastes.

Anyway, these just caught our collective eyes and we thought they were clever. …And if you’re interested in getting extra meta, you could even play Labyrinth (Free) or Labyrinth 2 ($4.99) while solving a labyrinth on your case. That’s neat, right?
