Unknown-2With Apple's new iPhone announcements finally out in the open, I imagine a lot of people are excited to either get their hands on the "new" version of the iPhone 5 called the iPhone 5C with their assortment of colorful casings, or are chomping at the bit to get their hands on the newest flagship iPhone the iPhone 5S with its A7 chip and 64-bit architecture. If you are one of these people excited to upgrade to one of the new iPhones, here's some links you might find handy:

The way you'll be able to purchase these new iPhones seems to be a little different than it's been in the past. The iPhone 5C will be available for pre-order on September 13th from the link above. Apparently, you won't be able to pre-order the iPhone 5S at all. Both the iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S will be available on September 20th via retail stores or shipped to you through the online store.

Personally, I'll be doing the whole camping outside of an Apple Store thing to ensure I get my hands on a new iPhone 5S. As we mentioned previously, all the nitty gritty technical details of the new iPhone hardware will likely have to wait for someone to do a full teardown of the device, but just based on what we know the 5S is shaping up to be a graphical beast in terms of gaming.

Now, If you could have 32 player matches over a game like Modern Combat, that would end the relationship between me and game centric hardware. That's not even talk, I'm saving my pennies for mobile devices (iDevices) from then on.

But, Modern Combat. I mean come on... chortle.

  • Heff

weak sauce, I'll wait to order 5s online

  • Rejera

What happened to potential controller support? I'd love more details on that!

    • Karzay

If they talk about it at all, it will be when they introduce the new iPad or maybe a new Apple TV.

  • lordyokomoto

    Uk links??

    • Lomyr

      What he said, please.

    • JPhilipp

Replace "/us/" in the URL with "/uk/" (or "/de/" etc.).

      • lordyokomoto

        Thx 🙂

  • RickyBrooke

The 5S looks like a monster but I may have to wait till the 6 next year before I upgrade... My iPhone 5 is only a year old and should get a lovely refresh with iOS7 next week!

  • curtisrshideler

Hmmm... A nice new 5s to replace my 4 might not happen til I hear your take on it, but I'm anxiously anticipating great things!

  • araczynski

missed the whole thing, but sounds like i didn't miss anything, any news about ipad refresh? only apple device i care about personally.

    • Psac42

No mention of iPad refreshes at all. Still expected before the end of the year. That is what I was hoping for as well.

      • araczynski

        drat, thanks.

      • bones boy

Same here. A 13" iPad with 128GB of memory is tops of my Xmas list.

  • dogface

I'm going to sit in the toilet with my eyes clothes until a 5s appears before me.

    • Bool Zero

      They make clothes for eyes!?!

      • Karzay

        Contact lenses?

      • http://matt-curtis.me/ Matt Curtis

        Iris color lenses?

  • praxcelis

Why camp out for a new phone? I'm not dumping on the new iPhone. I want one. But being in line for hours or days? No thank you.

Now, if it was FREE I'd be there.

    • HelperMonkey

How about freemium? Wait three hours between calls, or pay extra. It's the future of technology!

      • mclifford82

I didn't realize people still used their phone to make calls. Interesting.

      • B3nlok

Thats probably the main purpose of a phone with 1440 mah battery and 4-inch screen. Its like a $600 glorified feature phone.

      • frankieabbott24

Don't forget an energy system or putting ads on it despite the fact that we paid for it 🙂

      • http://rekzkarz.com/ REkzkaRZ

Freemium phone with no charger -- it only charges by your movement. And you HAVE to move or it taser-zaps you with the last bits of charge remaining!!

  • Tyler Piderit

I wonder if buying a CDMA version is the same price at retail/no contract.

I want to buy one for Sprint but my 2 years isn't up. Probably same price I'm guessing.

  • raviadso

    No 5S pre-order? Boo.

  • Gustav

I'd like to point out that Apple officially uses lower case characters. It's iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s.

  • Devok

Who's gonna order the iphone 5c? It will pretty much sell out like the 5s.

    • http://ask.fm/MidianGTX MidianGTX

Android owners who pretended Apple sucks.

  • Barzuma

So... get a brand new iPhone 5c, or second-hand iPhone 5?

    • Gustav

I'd be careful with 2nd hand devices. You never know if the battery's still in a good condition. However, even if they cost the same, I would without a doubt choose the iPhone 5 over the 5c. It looks much more valuable and will add to your appearance.

      • NeonGreenKermit

        Add to your appearance? Wow.

    • NeonGreenKermit

I'm getting a new 5C. Firstly, the radio is better, and will work on more networks that the 5 did. Also, there's minor camera improvements, I think. Lastly, those colours man... love them. Always preferred the look and feel of the 3GS to the 4 (I owned both), and the premium plastic has a warm and comfortable feel to it.

  • The_Blue_Sticker

Do they not realize how much they'll get if they make an iPod touch 5C? I know they made the one without the camera or whatever but still. $200 for hardware 2 years outdated is not good at all.

  • lordyokomoto

Hmm iPhones. 5s from $199 in US
    Price for UK £549 ouch
    Both 16gb models!!!!!!!

    • lordyokomoto

K looked again further down US is $649 lol

    • NeonGreenKermit

New phrase of the day: contract subsidisation.

  • worldcitizen1919

One warning. In 12 months both Optus & Telstra will be switching on the 700mhz frequency which both these latest iPhones are not compatible. So I'd wait for the iPhone 6.
