Two Lives Left's Crabitron [$2.99 (HD)] is one of those games you've just got to see. It's an endless crabber that tasks you with charging through the cosmos, crushing and devouring anything that gets in your way. You do this by mimicking the pincers that you're steering around. Want to crush something? Pinch your fingers together. Want to eat something? Bring your fingers (and thus the pincers) to your crab's mouth and go to town. It's a wild control setup that's, surprisingly, good.

Jared and I gave it a spin this afternoon in an attempt to show you what's up. Our run is pretty good: you'll see a couple of the game's mini-games that break up the pacing, and if you don't blink, you'll even see some teleporting cars and explosive burps. And maybe a puzzle game knockoff. Man, this game is good.

Awesome. How much is the trippler

Does having four fingers like that on the screen mess with multitasking gestures?

    • John

Hi, I am one of the developers. The multitasking gestures do get triggered very rarely. Once you start playing (all 4 fingers are down) they wont happen at all in 99.9% of circumstances.

      • Laszlo Tuss

I dare, i double dare Apple to not give developers a way to turn off multitasking gestures for their apps only (if the user approves it like the other optional sevices).

    • albinosalad

Having used the iPad when it was first released without the multitasking gestures then getting a new iPad, I disabled that feature on the first day.

      • Laszlo Tuss

Its an awesome feature, but the way it works now is too bad for multi-finger games.

  • Boobi

$4.99 is kinda pricey, did I hear you right Brad?

    Nooooo whyyy

Developer can you PLEASE make a version for ipod touch? This game looks really fun and i really want to play it DX

    • John Millard

We are going to do some experiments on iPhone and iPod touch and post the results on, no promises though

    • HelperMonkey

      How big are your fingers?

      • Br0n5t3r

They wouldn't be located exactly on the claws they would probably be located on the left and right side of the screen ( large controls, smaller graphics

      • Tangles

I dont know of the developer can somehow make a great game like this i think he could figure out a system to make it work

      • Tangles

Also, my fingers would fit c:

    • John Millard

I'm currently doing some experiments getting the game to work on iPhone / iPod touch. The game works and I can play it, although I'm not totally happy with how the game feels. We'll post an update on soon with details and videos.

  • noggin

I love it, I've sinked so many hours into this game. Would love to see more giant monster games.

  • Mrwubbs

I really hope this game makes its money Back on crabstarter so we can see those cool updates!

  • Gamer_Kev

I'll have to check that out, it's getting very hard these days to find a good space crab simulator. But seriously, it does look like fun. That Arkanoid like section was a nice touch.

  • Smartbomb

That's absolutely feckin hilarious, I almost have to buy it just to watch the funny face...

  • Br0n5t3r

I really want a version for the iPod 5, I think that it could manage but the touch would have to have way different calibration, and in different sizes

  • heyday72

What, no crabs on my Iphone? Why not make it universal!

  • Me

I have no idea why I like this game so much, but it's an incredibly entertaining (and surprisingly varied, you do more than crush ships) little simulation/puzzle/time-killer with great controls.

Embrace your inner space crab and buy this game.

  • Ondřej Pošta

Great game. It makes me, my wife even my daughter laugh. It is maybe a bit pricey, but it worth every penny is so unique. Nice funny game overall. I'm looking forward to future updates.:)

  • heyday72

Even when the game would be not so playable on the little screen on the iphone at least i can watch that silly crab do his thing. Its so dam amusing! I say iPhone please.

  • Boo!

Please drop this *%§%&§ Player already, thank you !!!

  • heyday72

I say lets make the crabster universal so iPhone gamers out there can enjoy the best, beautifull and crazy game on the app store.

I need to stop watching TA plays for games that I'm neutral or undecided about. It's bad for my wallet.
