Pixel-powered Brawler ‘Beatdown’ Gets a New Trailer and Release Date

Ravenous Games has revealed that their latest upcoming project Beatdown, which we first caught wind of early last month, is finally ready and will be releasing on November 15th. Beatdown is an aptly-named side-scrolling beat ’em up with heavy inspiration from the classics of the arcade era like Double Dragon, The Simpsons Arcade Game, and Final Fight. It features Ravenous’s wonderful pixel art style, and a pretty sweet soundtrack to boot. Check out the newest trailer.

Ravenous has revealed in our forums that Beatdown will launch as a Universal app that supports iCloud save syncing. It will also support the Retina Display equipped devices, the 4-inch widescreen of the iPhone 5 and new iPod touch, and will be priced at the impulse-ready point of 99¢. We really like these old-school brawlers and are looking forward to getting our hands on Beatdown next week, and we’ll have more for you when it finally hits the App Store.
