We learned back in May that Tin Man Games had acquired the rights to adapt several entries from the Fighting Fantasy series of role-playing gamebooks for the iOS platform. A match made in heaven, if you will, as Tin Man had built up quite an audience with their excellent Gamebook Adventures series on iOS, and fully admit to being hugely inspired by and longtime fans of the Fighting Fantasy series.

The first of these iOS adaptations, Fighting Fantasy: Blood of the Zombies [$1.99], is now available following the release of the paperback edition back in August. Blood of the Zombies is penned by series co-creator Ian Livingstone and was commissioned to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the first ever Fighting Fantasy gamebook The Warlock of Firetop Mountain.

The paperback edition has received high marks from critics and fans so far, and with Tin Man's expertise with their Gamebook Adventures engine on iOS I can imagine they've done a fantastic job with Blood of the Zombies. Impressions are slowly rolling into our forums, but people seem to be digging it so far, so definitely check it out if you're a fan of Fighting Fantasy or just interactive fiction in general.

Ah, Fighting Fantasy books... I remember when Warlock first came out. Where on Earth did the last 30 years go?!?

Been waiting for this! (Physical copies of the book aren't quite so easy to come by in the US yet.)

Man, I love the Fighting Fantasy series. I bought all the ones released on iOS up to this point.

Now my love of FF is conflicting with my refusal to buy zombie-related products. What to do...
