This week on The TouchArcade Show the cast and crew discuss the cold and horrible business side of the free-to-play model, GDC Online in Austin, the iPhone 4S, iOS 5, and UPS. After all that, we dig into the latest and greatest games, chat a bit about the big news of the week and finish up with your user questions. I think you’ll definitely dig the first half of the show — Eli came back from his Austin adventure with some fantastic discoveries that really kicked off a thoughtful, though perhaps a little depressing, talk on free-to-play.

This is an excellent podcast. As one of the major iOS gaming sites, I feel you guys are in a somewhat good position to let people know about this kind of thing. It's good to see there are people passionate about innovative games.

I normally really dislike the sensationalist writing over at cracked.com, but I feel you might be very interested in this article. http://www.cracked.com/article_18461_5-creepy-ways-video-games-are-trying-to-get-you-addicted.html

Yowch, sad to hear GDC has been converted over to some sort of high tech Marketing Seminar. ;-(
