With how much praise the entire internet has heaped upon Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP [99¢ / $1.99], I find it to be almost impossible to believe that anyone around here hasn't heard of the game… But, in case you've spent the last year on a cave in mars with your eyes closed and your fingers in your ears, you can check out our incredibly exhaustive review that covers everything you'd ever want to know and then some.

The cause for celebration today is the Autumn Equinox, which has resulted in the price of the "micro" iPhone-only version to dropping to 99¢, while the universal version saw a similar drop to $1.99. If for some strange reason you still don't have this game yet, now is a great time to get on board.

Also, Jim Guthrie's fantastic soundtrack that accompanies the game is also on sale. Head on over to his band camp site where you can name your price (or pay nothing, if that's how you roll) to download the album.

Sweet I had S&S since launch but I'll have the soundtrack for the nice price of £0 ( hehe that's how I roll) I don't feel guilty having already bought the game at full price.

I'm rolling like that aswell. Payback for making me wait 6 months for a pixel art adventure in sound and seasons. It was a bit crap really

Paying $0.00 for the soundtrack to the game you didn't like, now that's what I call sticking it to the man.

  • Capone

I grabbed this one at an earlier price drop and I'm playing this right now. It's a very deep experience, you don't really expect something like that on the App Store. Buy this when you're prepared for longer gaming sessions.
At the moment I'm altering the moon and try to find out what to do after sending five sylvan sprites to the sky in the dark moon phase...

It's overrated hipster garbage honestly, it's not terrible though.

      Haha I totally agree

  • Dyscode

This is among the most intense and beautiful experiences a iTouch game has delivered so far.  As game it´s quite mediocre, though. If you take it as the best an interactive story can offer, you won´t be disappointed. I LOVE S&S!

They should add some new content, dlc, or make a sequel. Loved this game, but it was too short, especially considering the amount of time they had to develop it. I want more!

  • Andiron

This game has a fantastic soundtrack.  I'd feel guilty not throwing at least a couple of $ at Jim Guthrie for it...

    Just add headphones...

Soundtrack isn't free to download. It's $8 or separate tracks for a dollar each 🙁

Haters be damned. I loved this game. Loved the style, loved the sound and the story. Sequel! Or even a new adventure/album done in the same sort of approach.
