Unfortunately, we're still running on fumes when it comes to any kind of real details of what is going to be in store for us with Firemint's Real Racing 2. The last announcement revealed that the game would be packed full of licensed cars, and this new trailer reveals a few more ones:

According to Firemint, these newly included cars are the 2010 Ford Shelby Mustang GT500, the 2010 #33 Jaguar RSR XKR GT, and the 2010 Nissan GT-R (R35). It kind of goes without saying, but I can't wait to play this game. Firemint seems intent on slowly leaking out additional tidbits, so maybe we'll know more about the game by this time next week. (I hope, anyway.)

I noticed that the video seemed to have car damage. I hope that is a sign to come :)

      Agreed...
i hope we'll see a better physic for cars and good online multiplayer modes...

Licensed cars? I think I'll have to purchase this now!

Wish Firemint had released a real gameplay video. Cinematic trailers are kinda misleading.... Still, I'm a big fan of their 2 games and will buy RR2 the day it comes out. :)

Hopefully we'll get an iPhone 4 specific version instead of just a resolution bump.

    • God

The "resolution bump" is a iPhone 4 specific version.

Best racing game i ever played! Even better than NFS Shift!!!

Hope there is some car damage in-game, I know that some manufacturers won't license their vehicles unless they don't take damage at all. :

If they can improve on an already solid title then this is going to be a fantastic game.

Licensed cars!? YES! The original was great, but I always disliked how it was trying to be a realistic racer, yet it missed the most important parts of a simulation racer. Real cars and real tracks! It looks like they've at least solved the former issue. :D

    i bet it's gonna be 4G ONLY...

    *sorry little buddy...*

  • Sex Box

Why would it be 4G only and not 3G? They use the same PowerVR SGX 35 GPU.

      b/c iphone 4 is 1ghz

  • The Real Octopus

    More like 850mhz

    Wow
I am not a real racing fan, but this trailer is Awesome

  • Stak

Man i don't like thiese trailers. Why can't they just use the graphics of the game.

And also the trailer was nothing special.
But the fact that there are real cars is reaally awesome.

Also i hope it has more cars than RR. And really diffrent cars. Not like RR where they just had 2 types each class (except hatch) and resprayed them all over 4 times. That was just a bit cheap-ish.

  • Chris

This is just another generic racing trailer? It doesn't show any sense of uniquness at all, dissapointed.. The only thing WORTH showing as it is iPhone is the in game graphics, make a trailer from that and they'd be onto a winner

  • FPSFan

    It wouldn't take a bullying for a ZR1 to beat a 500GT. ;)

Nice vid. Can't wait to see some in-game stuff.

  • Freddyq

I will buy this as I love RR, but please include Nürburgring and Mount Panorama.

Not asking for much am I...lol. Either way, I can't wait. No other racing sim comes close imo.
