Anticipation has been building on our forums for months now around Crescent Moon Games' Rimelands: Hammer of Thor [$4.99] since it was first announced. Due to an approval SNAFU, Rimelands took a little bit longer to be released than expected, but it just appeared for downloads mere moments ago.

In Rimelands, you follow the treasure hunter Rose Cristo through an epic steampunk fantasy adventure. The entire game is turn based, and features tons of customization options through talent trees and skill boosts. We're still working on our review which we will have posted soon, but if you've been chomping at the bit for Rimelands after following the threads in our upcoming games forum... It is finally here.

shocked that it's not a universal app. I've been waiting on this for a while. iPAD apps must really be huge resource hogs when factoring in development costs because when you see the huge price jump between the ipod and iPAD versions of games, as well as the significant delay times, I'm starting to wonder if iPAD development is slowing down....

would really LOVE to play this on the IPAD...

Yeah. I started a thread on this in the forums. Didn't really get anywhere. All these fantastic games coming out for the iPhone but no iPad version. Blowing up the games on the iPad just looks terrible. Hopefully developers will start coming out with universal/iPad versions of their games. Is it really that hard to make them work on the iPad?

If you saw the keynote from Apple on 1st. 9. Jobs showed that the iPad Market is only 10% of the iPhone Market.
SO far less units sold here thus less money to be earned thus less development.

I have to agree Karma32 and Otakuon though, Scott. But to answer Otakuon's question; if they plan on making an iPad version it'll be released later because they want people to buy both (thus they earn more money). We've seen that with almost every "big" title so far.

BUT, I suppose the game has retina display resolution, which means it wouldn't look too bad on the iPad screen. Correct me if I'm wrong.
