Gamevil has released a new trailer for their upcoming sequel Zenonia 2. This latest RPG from Gamevil will feature more content than their original. We detailed some of the changes back in January:

Zenonia 2 will have four distinctly different character classes: The paladin, shooter, magician, and warrior. Ranged attacks are also being implemented, allowing players to use various skills to attack from a distance. New difficulty modes are also being added, aside from the standard "normal" difficulty, "hard" and "hell" modes will allow hardcore players to access additional loot and a hidden boss stage only available in the higher difficulty modes. There are also new terrain effects thrown in to the mix such as water, snow, ice and others.

In addition, there will be a new asynchronous online multiplayer feature that you will be able to "download and compete against" your friends' characters.


The game is due in March.

    The first one was horribly over-rated. Really nothing more than a poorly done Zelda clone on the cheap, with a terrible frame rate, music which repeated after 3-4 seconds, and jaggy upscaled visuals.

    Until Gamevil actually put some serious effort into their iPhone games, and by that I mean native resolution visuals, 60fps scrolling, and a decent soundtrack, I'll give them a miss.

      You're forgetting one other INCREDIBLY important miss on the part of the first game and something that this game needs to correct for me to even consider it: typos, typos, typos! In a story-based game genre, the story needs to not only be compelling but written correctly!

    Maybe they should do away with the stupid hunger thing and the weapons and armor breaking after twenty mins of playing. I can't stand games where the weapons and armor breaks and especially this hunger system that Gamevil created.

      Too hard? The hunger system, item breaking, etc, is a challenge. Don't expect a game to be easy as pie, because you think it's too hard to buy hammers in the pot shop, or buy food. If it's too hard for you, I don't think Zenonia is the right game for you. I don't think the systems were stupid, I thought it made the game harder. It'd be boring if it was so easy.

        I think the hunger and breaking system was a perfect rpg twist but I guess they could lighten the load like it will break slower in normal and go faster in hard.

        I think you have something there. I feel like it was a sound idea but could use a little touching up, myself. Still, as I said in another comment, my biggest beef with Zenonia is its typos.

        i think the item breaking over time is fun but the hunger thing is pretty anoying. they should change it into energy that slowly recharges, for ranged classes and rage that builds every time u get hit for meelee classes. and special attacks use energy or rage depending on the class.
