Maybe I'm the only one, but I just don't get the massive hype surrounding Doodle Jump. I finally caved in and bought it about a month ago, played it for about 10 minutes, and then promptly deleted it. The game is boring, repetitive jumping and shooting. It's gotten to the point where everytime I see Doodle Jump mentioned somewhere, I roll my eyes because they're talking about it as if it's the greatest thing ever. Can we just forget about this game and move on?

    • Stephen Headrick

Yes. You are the only one.

      • Yahoo

Sorry dude, he's not the only one who's flummoxed by all the hype surrounding this ballyhooed kiddie game. :)

    • MrMuesli

It's just a nice simple game to whip out at opportune moments waiting for train/wife/something to happen. And very nicely presented to boot! And there's that 'no turning back now' effect the higher you jump (Canabalt has it too). And somehow the next personal best always seems so tantalizingly near: )

    • Symbolist

I don't like this game, too. But all the others who do like it... are fully entitled to.

World is just not small enough to hate a little game.

      • MartiNZ

Yeah when I heard the comment at the end of the podcast, I figured I'd come put my hand up as 'listened to the podcast and don't own doodle jump'. In fact if anything I find the over-hype to be off-putting.

    • araczynski

nope, not the only one, i thought it was the biggest waste of a dollar i've ever spent on the app store, and i have over 350 games installed, vast majority paid for.

I always pronounced it as LIE-ma Sky. Interesting that it's actually Lee-ma Sky.

I love Doodle Jump. Definitely my favorite iPhone app.

Thanks for chatting about ReBounce guys! We are taking notes and will continue to polish.

Eli, if you want to plan your shots longer just hold your finger on the puck and time will slow down. That should give you tons of time to plan out your shots. That level of strategy definitely becomes necessary when you get into the 10,000,000 Rush games.

Also, look out for leader boards in the next update coming soon!

Just played sword & poker lite version and why wasn't there an article about this one? Great game! Interested to hear if they plan on updating it or how long the game takes to beat.

Sword&Poker is a blast for buck! Just played it for a few hours, and there are a ton of options, weapons, shields, magic spells, enemies, and all with the fun of poker. It really is like Puzzle Quest, except with playing cards. Highly recommended.

    • araczynski

puzzle and card games, two of my most hated genres :) but to each their own.

i finally caved in as well and bought it. I was not too interested in this game, partially because I bought it at the same time when I bought N.O.V.A., ridge racer accelerated, and need for speed shift.

After a while it became more interesting, especially everytime my sister beats my high score, I try to beat it again in this endless cycle of competition.

I just take it out when there is like 3 min of free time and try to advance as far as possible when in other games, u can't just play it in 3 minutes or something like that.
