I hate to say it, but I agree with the others who say it's dull and not really worth the $2.99. Sorry devs, you rocked Zen Bound, but this just does not capture the vibe of the originals. :/

I bought this immediately because I was a fan of the original, and I don't regret it, although I do agree that there should be more content or a smaller price. The original probably did inspire games like PAIN on the PS3, iDropDead and Ouch on the iPhone, and that other ragdoll-down-the-stairs game in the app store.

Same, I bought this on the back of SPIN and Zen Bound. I was aware it was essentially just a toy, but it doesn't really have the charm of its predecessors in my opinion. I'll stick to Zen Bound for showing off pretty 3d graphics, and iDrop Dead: Flower Edition for destroying ragdolls...! Doesn't get my recommendation, I'm afraid...

Well, the physics are about what was to be expected, given the original dismount titles. ..I think it would be worth trying to get the vocals from the original in there too. They were a good part of the comedic value. Other than that: good game.

Big words? 2.5 million downloads dude. Big download stat.

No need to claim to the the first when you have all the mindshare. It's like claiming the iPhone is the first to do {whatever} .. it doesn't matter if it was first or not. It's the one everyone bought into.

How can you feel cheated? The iTunes description quite accurately describes the game, and there's a free PC version that can be tried to check out the game concept. (Sauna dismount can also be tried if you're curious how the dummy model might have improved since the PC Stair Dismount days.)

This is one of those cases where the price is obviously set knowing the fans need to take dismounting mobile at any cost. It is what it is: push a guy down the stairs, get amusement from the combo of the SFX + Ragdoll Physics, repeat.

Re:

"… and is probably one of the reasons all those physics engines use ragdolls…" and "… this is the official sequel to the original that started the whole genre…"

Big words.

Nice one +1.

If you read above, it says "One of the first".

We do not claim to be the inventors of ragdolls.

Yeah i'm gonna be honest... i bought this straight away on the back of Zen Bound but absolutely wish that i hadn't.

It is DULL DULL DULL and the physics... which they touted as being far superior to every other ragdoll clone out there are not all that great. The body feels too light is the most obvious criticism and seems to almost float down the stairs.

They could have at least wrapped up some gameplay elements into it or even added some other cool physics stuff.

Unless you are absolutely desperate to get rid of $2.99 i would not bother with this at all.
