This is a level variant that pops up every five levels in the Trench arcade part. What happens is that you see the action from Darth Vader's POV, as he tries to get weapons lock on your X-Wing. You are still flying Red 5, and so you need to move out of his sights while flying the trench and avoiding obstacles, all from a strange angle. Its a nice touch, but yeah, everyone seems to think this screen shot comes from you flying a TIE. Not true.

Hey all, we've put out a v1.1 patch that should be approved shortly by apple. It fixes not only the performance on a 3G iPhone, but now, you can play on a 1st Gen iPhone with the same experience! in fact, we took out the crappy 3G trench and put the nice 3Gs trench back in for everyone to enjoy.

Also, I went ahead and revealed how to get to Vader's ship – I wanted to give SOMETHING to the people who suffered the 3G experience initially.

the performance on the 3G is so good now, that I actually put my money where my mouth was last night, and went to level 25 on Dog Fight arcade last night just to prove my point – it rocks \m/

Darth's ship rocks \m/ -the cockpit view makes it so wide open. The view in both the Dog Fight and trench section are awesome
