Ah! Rogue Squadron! I have it on the game cube (actually I play Rebel Strike III since there you can replay RS coop!) wonderful game. I didn\'t know the trench run was already playable on Atari...then...! Nice! I hope we get more flying SW games I really love it and the accelerometers could control the ships well (don\'t have any fly-games). If RS were on iphone with good gfx and frame rate I wouldn\'t mind parting $20 for it!

I think the main issue here is that it's impossible to play the Star Wars game with someone filming over your shoulder. The game play is actually very fun, I've had the pleasure of trying it.

DLC ? I hope not, eliminate was a good example of what not to do. Hopefully DLC of that type will be self Eliminating.

Wow- that SW title looks incredibly lame considering the huge amount of cool Star Wars themed games over the years. How cool would the X-Wing game from the mid-90s with multiplayer support have been instead? Or even the Rogue Squadron rail shooter? Or Star Wars Arcade? Sad they waited so long to offer a SW iPhone title and the one they come up with looks so cheesy. Well at least it's not "Jar Jar in Roadkill of the Sith" or whatever...

SW looks cool to me. I'll have a better idea once I play it. Hopefully there will be some variations to the game instead of just trench runs. This seems like it would be a good level for a full fledged star wars game.

its 20 seconds, but first impressions count, too many other games out there eager for a shot at my 20 seconds of attention :)

maybe the reviewer thought those WERE the best 20 seconds of the game...

I'm not sure how you guys are passing judgment on the Star Wars game based on a lame 20-second clip, but I don't think you're being fair. The "official" video is longer, and shows more modes of gameplay, mirroring the air battle from the movies before going into the trench (just like the 1983 Atari arcade game).

A static camera with the scenery moving around it is what you would see in a REAL plane, too, ya know. And there's a cockpit toggle, which I like a lot.

The price has been announced at $4.99, and supposedly the game has been submitted to the App Store. I'm getting impatient waiting for it because I think it looks cool. I'm always up for a good Star Wars game with spaceships instead of the Jedi stuff that is in everything for the last several years.

Trench Run looks pretty cool, being able to use the Force is a nice addition and stops it from being a complete clone of the old Atari game. It's a pity they didn't also show off the other level from the trailer where you're dog fighting with TIE fighters above the Death Star.

How about a port of the old vector based Star Wars Arcade game from Atari. That would be sweet! This one, sadly, looks like junk.
