'Real Racing' Drops to $4.99, Gets Volkswagen GTI Update

Firemint's Real Racing game has received a new updates and a price drop down to $4.99 from $6.99. Real Racing is one of the premier racing titles on the iPhone and recently saw the release of a Volkswagen lite version called Real Racing GTI.
This newest update brings the full version up to par with the Lite by offering two of the Volkswagen GTI vehicles and also provides a bit of a discount for late adopters.
If you've been holding off on getting the full version, here's your chance. If you still haven't tried the game at all, the Lite version is certainly a "must try".

This game was well worth it at the original price. Definitely worth it now. Totally totally kick-ass game. ..I don't understand why none of the other racing games have managed to have such positive steering controls yet.

ok, no need to insult people there kam, but EatKodosDaily, do you regret spending 10$ on this fine product? I don't. I regret paying 10$ for Asphalt 4 lol, and even at 0.99 I wouldn't play it (HATED it), but REAL RACING is a quality product well worth the price of a martini, IMHO.
I don't care if they drop the price further. I mean, it'll sadden me that premium games can't sell on the appStore (10$ really isn't that much when you consider the price of PSP games on the PSN Store..) but I don't regret my purchase. that game rocks.

Frame rate is brilliant on a 1st gen iPhone 2G (one of the slowest hardware of the group, along with 1st gen iPod Touch). As Arn says, try the free lite version which is mentioned in the article too. It often helps to read them first.

This is a cool game, I'll probably upgrade from the lite version now that it's cheaper.
