Hmm, I haven't really had an issue with Ramp Champ's physics. They can be a little quirky, perhaps, but I don't find them inconsistent - just requires a light touch and some practice.

I find Freeverse's Skee Ball very much lacking in charm in comparison. Half of the appeal of skee are the prizes and overall amusement park/carnival vibe, and that, along with the fun goals and variety of ramps, what Ramp Champ gets so very right. It's worth picking up just as an example of app design alone.

Anyway, there should be room in the world for a bunch of different skee games. I've just been disappointed that RC hasn't gotten the amount of attention that IMO it richly deserves.

Hmm... I don't have a problem with the Ramp Champ physics. It can be a little quirky, perhaps, but I don't find it inconsistent. It just takes practice, and the different ramps have a ton of personality, polish, humor, and variety.

In comparison, find Freeverse's Skee Ball lacking in interest. Half of skee is the appeal of the n prizes and the whole vibe, and Ramp Champ IMO completely succeeds in getting that across. Even simply as an example of how to design an iPhone app, it shines.

Anyway, there's enough room in the world for multiple skee ball games.... I just think Ramp Champ deserves way more attention than it's gotten.

I have to agree with these guys, Ramp Champ's physics, particularly the subtleties of the attempting to hit the short and medium targets that make it flat out frustrating with inconsistency, do really limit it. I also think it needs WAY more levels/themes to keep replay value. Beat each goal once in 45 minutes and then you're done.

This is a highly polished but shallow and forgettable game. I have the first dlc and it wasn't worth it for me. I guess those other apps packed with content spoiled me. I'm glad it was only a buck though :)

Ramp Champ has horrible physics, while Skee-Ball has great and realistic physics. So even though I REALLY like RC's presentation and graphics, it's virtually unplayable with the current control scheme.

I love Ramp Champ. Exceptional game. The bad-english descriptions for the Ninja prizes is worth the price alone.

I wouldn't call skeeball blandly designed. It's a simulation of an actual skee ball machine and it does a really good job of replicating it. The prizes are really funny too. It's not as cool looking as ramp champ I guess, but I find it a lot more fun.

My thoughts exactly. It definitely is a testament to the power of licensing a name/ concept.

Actually, I much prefer the physics in Skee-Ball over Ramp Champ. Plus, it's a buck (or more if you get DLC) cheaper. I've consistently gone back to Skee-Ball while Ramp Champ hasn't been played in a while. I love the "ticket-spewing" animation in RC, but RC is just so hard to control and I prefer to have the balls land in holes rather than knock over stuff.

Man, it's just a crime that the utterly blandly designed Skee Ball is currenly no 2 in the App Store, and Ramp Champ has barely been able to crack the Top 100.

Seriously, people... this game is amazingly designed, deliciously challenging, and a total pleasure. Buy it, and if/when you love it, tell your friends about it.
