For an inexpensive minigame, it looks fun to me. The graphics look good, I like the tight angle of view. More importantly the physics looks potentially very good.

It feels like doing kickoff returns, which is actually kind of cool. I'm a football fan, so would consider myself somewhat picky. It's okay to narrow a game down to certain elements, but then it must really deliver on those elements (like 3D Home Run Slugger or whatever it's called, that's one of my favorite games.)

They can't do a full football game on the iPhone with that level of detail. It's great that we have BOTH Madden and this to choose from (and NFL 2010 too). I will probably end up with this game, and one of the full games.

Let me clear this up for you guys. Tackle Alley is an extension of the full game on the PS3 and 360. It is a mini-game in the full version.

Also, who cares about a licensed football game if it does not play a realistic game of football, ie. "Madden NFL 06 – Madden NFL 10 and so on.

I do not doubt for one second that Backbreaker's gameplay will set the bar for years to come and NaturalMotion will be a household name among gamers all around the world. People that have never played or have played few football games will be taking a serious look at Backbreaker.

I cannot see how you could go wrong if this is only $1.99… so what it doesn't have licenses.. I think that people are getting a bit of a warped idea of what a game is worth these days – spoilt even. It looks like a bit of fun, and would definitely pass the time stuck on the bus!

It seems to me that your guy should become somewhat transparent when an opposing player is covered by the image of your own guy. This would allow for more precision on the timing of a certain move, allowing you to get better. It seemed the person demoing the game almost wanted to start moving left or right so he could see exactly when the tackler would be close enough for him to make his move. That is one obvious flaw.

Looks really nice, even if it is simple. I would have liked a jump button for when the defenders come in low. I could see it being worth a lot of points for being really risky.
