I don't know what the technical term for it is either, but our paper-pulp yielding amigos really are just 'faces' that look at u. If u look at them during, 'gameplay' they are perpetually flashing the same pair of proverbial conkers right b4 ur blushing face, irrespective of perspective. Presumably as a means of poly reduction to run on older hardware…
Which makes me hope that those of us with 3gs hardware will get some sort of performance boost aside from the usual frame rate increase and zippier boot up times. How's about some sizzling particle effects, or even a perfectly rendered Cuckcoo called Dave that lives in one of those weird trees?

And multiplayer- ONLINE WITH VOICE CHAT please!!

If you check the Supercross thread you will see me asking them that it seemed like you weren't going to update this game and work on a new one…

They replied , "no we 100% want to support this (supercross ) game with updates and bug fixes".

There has been no updates to Supercross and now a new game comes. And I dont think they've posted since on TA.

It's "extensive", not… you know?! And the trees are 3D. It's solid tech also used in some PSP games. Just a few polygons with partly transparent textures. The effect is there without wasting too much GPU power. Thing is, this looks horrible with higher resolutions but on your phone screen it gets the job done.

I only played the lite version of supercross and thought it just was not my taste. But anyway it should be worth the little money even without a career mode included. It is not ok for developers making false claims about future updates anyway but that sort of thing (not to say f…) happens all the time. I would be realy concerned if the price was 20 bucks or more. But come on gals n' guys. This is penny arcade. It is about small money and so it is also only about minor issues you are complaining about. Justbplay your games and be nice, would you please. Think they will put up a lite version again and everybody gets the chance to make up his/her mind if it is worth a Big Mac menu or so. At least you won't get fat on playing poor games, will you?

I have to admit, I was bitten pretty badly by the previous game. If you look at the app description page it STILL falsely advertises an online leaderboard. And I still can't believe they never added a career mode or any new content. That being said, it was still one of my favorite games ever released for the iDevices. I can't help but be excited for this one after seeing that trailer and reading that preview. I favor atvs to dirt bikes too. I know this will be a damn fun game.

I have nothing to do with 2XL other than being someone who got their game and enjoyed it. Oh and as I liked it I also checked out their website (which is linked in the IGN article) and saw some extra details not really highlighted by Arn, so posted a link to it.

And as Spongebob points out, most of those complaints are about the lack of a career mode, stunts & freestyle. All I was pointing out was that the core gameplay in Super cross was very good (and generally well received) and that this new game seems to deliver all of the things those people complained about in that game.

Nizy is not from 2XL. He posts regularly on the forum.

Anyway, why don't you try the the lite version of the game and decide for yourself instead of relying on the opinion of few disgruntled but very vocal users? Like I said above, I for one loved it and still play it regularly. 2XL Supercross was released about 7 months (?) ago and I think it still has one of the best graphics and responsive controls in any racing game in the app store.

Not sure what the other guy was complaining about "bad controls." This game handles perfectly to me. The issues most users have with the game are lack of career mode, tricks and free roam.
