Well sure there was slowdown in sonic but I found it to at least be playable and a Sonic with a bit of slowdown for me is better than no Sonic at all so I was willing to overlook it. Streets of Rage on the other hand is 100x worse, I truly believe Sega released this piece of garbage as some form of cruel joke, as one of the videos posted stated, there is absolutely no way someone actually tested this before releasing this piece of garbage. Sega has officially made it clear that they do not care at all if they rip off there loyal customers. I will forget I ever purchased this game, never buy a sega product again and I will remember Sega for the company it once was and not the company it is now.

I can't believe you're happy with Sonic Slowdown (seriously...there's slowdown that wasn't there in the original). That aside, you've finally seen the light.

Sega has to optimize the emulator. They've failed to do so and just...well...they've failed. They're full of fail. Hurts my Sega fan heart to state that, but the difference between the company that brought us all those great classics is that Sega doesn't seem to care anymore. Not even for themselves.

Arn posted the vid. Proof positive the emulator isn't optimized even on 3Gs. When you troll, you've got to have some facts on your side, as that's what makes the trolling strong. Just a bit of FYI on that one. You lack skills.

Read everyone complaining about how this game isn't working right on the iphone 3GS. I decided since I have an ipod touch 2g running 3.0 software it should run no differently than Golden Axe or Sonic (which unlike most people here I was happy with), man was I wrong. This piece of garbage runs just as badly on the ipod touch 2g as it does on the 3GS. The person in charge of this emulation should be fired on the spot, any game company that would dare release such a product has absolutely does not care about it's reputation nor do they have any respect for their customers. Sega should have to pay me $4.99 to play this. I just cannot believe this is the same company that brought us the Phantasy Star series, shinobi, Nights and many other great games.

Emulation on the iPhone is extremely hard to do well with the official SDK. The problem is, emulation requires you write every pixel displayed on the screen every frame - there is no hardware acceleration for anything. Which would be fine, except Apple doesn't give developers access to writing directly to the screen. Instead the best you can do is create a full-screen 3D texture, update that texture every frame, and send it to the GPU to be rendered. Which is a slow process.

Glad to see Streets of Rage released on the iPhone, I loved the game when I was young, but the frame rate issues are disappointing.

Wow.... No one likes getting thier feelings hurt I suppose, even when all it is is a bit of criticism. I'm not a terrorist but I get the point of what he's saying. There are bigger issues at hand though I worked my ass off to afford my "trinket" so he can also back the f*ck off in the same respect.
