sorry, this game isn't 1/100th the game eliss is. It's an interesting idea but it's not that fun and your fingers end up covering everything. Eliss was smart about it...and the gameplay was more than asteroids with touch.

This game is sooooooooooo cool!
Everything just fits, perfect controls (I also love Eliss), great style and a soundtrack which will make you smile.

My big problem with Pew Pew are the enemy patterns. They are very boring, staying the same all the time just adding new enemy ships in the row. This game would be brilliant if it had random enemy placement all the time.

JC is really great, everyone should give it a try.

This is Matto, you know...the guy who made Jimney Chimney. Thanks for the post, it's really exciting to see people actually enjoying my game. I know it's not perfect, but it has been a fun project for me and I'm glad to see that others are having some fun.

For those complaining about fingers blocking the screen, that was an intentional design decision (which I probably should have explained better). As you add more fingers you get the advantage of being able to shoot more bullets, but at the cost of both visibility and mobility. In the end it comes down to managing the cost/benefit of shooting extra directions.

@Jyaif, the funny thing is, I almost thought about making it pulse to the music (I actually had the code mostly written, but decided to take it out for various reasons). Though at the time I was completely unaware of Pew Pew (which I enjoy). I'm just a big fan of music and draw much inspiration from the games of Tetsuya Mizuguchi (of Rez fame).

Anyways... back to working on 1.1 ;-)

Just as some sort of recompense for my daft post just now, I'll give my thoughts on Jimney Chimney: A great little game, polished and challenging. While of course I hope that the dev will add more to it in future, I am appreciating it right now for its flawless simplicity. Groovy music too: )

Wow, when I saw in Alichan76's post that "the game 'pulses' to the music", I though "damn he must have copied my game!" (PewPew)!

What a relief ^^;

@sev Hahaha. How right you are: ) Well, there we go. I feel rather two nuts short of a fruit cake now for having given that glowing review of another game. I just looked at the screen shot and assumed. Won't be doing that again in a hurry *goes to crawl under nearest dustbin*

@alichan76 You are confused with pew pew friend.

This game is ok but with the touchscreen controls all i see are my fingers.
And touching multiple points at a time is even worse.

Yup , this is a real find. The graphics are simple, but really polished. The music is great, and the game 'pulses' to the music. I absolutely love 'Dodge This' mode. You find yourself thinking 'this can't possibly go any further', yet a minute later your still going. Seat of your pants stuff: ) And the new 'Chromatic Conflict' mode is inspired stuff! Oh, not to mention that you can watch the whole game again with a birds eye view, and in Fast forward if you like! All that, AND the best part of all, the controls. They are perfect!
