After 30 mins of play, you get used to them. In fact, despite not having a diagonal control I was happy to find that your character automacitally will walk around obstacles. No one compared it to Wipeout. And i feel that it's decent on my 3G. I like Low Grav Racer (which is the same exact kind of game) but think that Phaze may be the better product.
