@jon

It IS possible to support it as BT multiplayer has been done on the original iphone (it was some tetris clone but the name escapes me) just like video is possible on 1st gen iphones and 3g iphones. Apple is choosing not it give us those features as an "incentive" to upgrade.

I realize that video on a 1st gen would never look as good or hit the same framerates as a 3GS... BUT the video is not bad at all. I used to use Qik all the time and the video was of decent quality. I know their are a lot of us with older phones that wouldn't mind video of lower quality if the alternative is absolutely no video at all.

My iphone is jailbroken, has MMS, has video, and has internet tethering. If it's on my phone and working then why can't apple give me the ability to do it without jailbreaking?

The point of putting the price was because I didn't buy a subsidized phone. I never signed a contract with AT&T and now they are FORCING me to sign a contract or lose service. Never has a phone company said "sign a contract or else" but that is now what they are doing.

The peer-to-peer implementation in Flight Control is pretty lame. I can't imaging why they wouldn't use the Game Kit. GK is so much more streamlined (auto enabled BT, better peer picker, etc). I can only wish they rethink their choice in the next update.

this was the biggest lol when they had the 3.0 announcement and the q/a afterwards. when they asked an appletech why it was excluded and he said it wasnt supported at a hw level. everyone knows its bs, but what can you do.

Well, if I would name the two different multiplayer modes, I'd call one of them "lite".

Actually, it would be more interesting I'd say, it feels a bit odd to send off planes to another airport, right? I'm not saying it should be a simulator, but in real life there are several people directing planes on a single airport.

The fun in FC is the chaos, and it would be more chaotic that way.

And cmon, several people playing on the same screen? That's just a bad idea.

First of all, I don't think anyone knows what "proper multiplayer" means when it comes to these chaos games, since...none of the other ones have multiplayer?

If you want to play on the same screen, the game supports multi-touch just fine. If you on different screens trying to control the same plane it would just get annoying.

It makes no sense that the original iPhone doesn't support many of the new iPhone OS 3.0 features. It should be technologically capable of supporting MMS, Peer-to-Peer bluetooth gaming etc.
