I enjoyed the original, but only because it was tough at first. However, I quickly discovered the secret to just "beating" (although not with the maximum star amounts) the levels – as the blocks stack up, everything not up on the screen is then "safe" and won't collapse if you can't see it.

As soon as I discovered this, I put minimal effort into actually stacking the blocks properly and instead just focused on stacking them well enough for me to be able to move them "off screen" and work on new ones. After I did that, I won every single time bonus.

Haven't played the second one yet, but it looks like a much fuller game.

I remember Topple was one of the pioneers in highly polished iphone games and the sequel is definable worth 99 cents! I really like ngmoco but I really wish ngmoco would make less shallow games You get what you pay for you I guess but I have purchased many amazingly in depth games for 1-5 dollars from publishers like chillingo and gameloft

yes they removed the original from the store, because it is too similar to the original and was free, thus taking away sales from the sequel, I believe their reasoning was : to eliminate confusion for the customer

i also was not a fan of the original

To be honest, I really didn't like the original, the only thing that kept me playing it was the completionist in me.

So i just bought it but it wants a newer version of iPhone OS than I am running. I'm running the latest pre-3.0 OS (2.2.1 or whatever it's called).

So the iStore just let me buy it and yet I can't even play it until I upgrade to 3.0?

That's a shame.

Everyone should get it.
It's an awesome game and way better than the great original.
Everything is top notch!
