I normally don't like to whine, but I really feel I have to this time.

I'm hungry!!!

There. That's out of my system. Now: get Knights Onrush. I found it very hard at first but still fun, and now that I'm getting the hang of the weapons (flick fireballs into the ground to make them explode) I'm advancing much better!

I skipped F.A.S.T. , due to no wifi. I've have F&F The Game since it was $5.99 and at a buck 99 I'd reccomend it, there's alot of content there.

Now, as for Knights Onrush-Get It! Fun game, lots to see and do, even for those on the fence about the castle defense genre. KO is my first foray into the genre and it's very cool. I think the $.99 sale is a steal.

I've tried wi-fi but no chance to see if it supports 3g, am using an iPod touch.

Note that the game also supports peer-to-peer Bluetooth, but we never managed to get it working.

I'm sure I should know, but could someone re-iterate if F.A.S.T. Is only WI-FI or is it 3G and Edge as well?

ummm...the reason why mass effect dropped its price isnt because of competition, its gotten terrible reviews. if it didnt have the name "mass effect" connected to it, that game wouldnt appeal to ANYONE. haha there will be plenty of whiner reviews on the app store now.

I'm not going to whine because I support the idea of having the product early and fueling the developers AAA to make more products in the future :) Knights on rush could've been the #1 game at the app store before if it was released at that price, but now it's going to be a little tougher since it's been a out for a while now and casual people are looking at mostly new apps.

As for indie developer's complaining about high production value games lowering the price and cannibalizing sales, I could probably care less. There's to many unoriginal indie apps that are just feel tacky and really lack in polish and at the rate people are spending money on the app store, we would rather buy 99c+ high quality games and play it over and over again vs buying a game that feels really lacking once then delete it.

Maybe poorly made indie style games were acceptable back in the days when competition was lacking but it's really not acceptable anymore imo.Just remember that the first game that became huge was from Trism and that was because the developer went the extra mile to make the game feel high polished and feel more like built in iphone game vs an indie game.

I still do buy indie games once in a while though, but mostly ones that implement a clever idea like "shift" and "ragdoll blaster" and not the ones that feel like a "me too" game and lacking in originality.

Tested the lite of Fast & Furious..... not very beautiful.
Firemint put much more love into Real Racing. You clearly see that.
Not a great rager at all. Glad I could test.

@josh,
maybe give 72 hour intro price (.99 cents) and later increase it to 2.99?

As a (indie) developer, I am definitely feeling this pressure. I'm having a hard time convincing myself to release at my usual $2.99 instead of $0.99. I'm curious to see what would happen to the AppStore if Apple provided rankings by revenue instead of just units sold. This could quickly drive prices up, possibly good for the developers, but perhaps bad for the consumer.

I suppose one benefit to the consumer would be that if developers are more secure in their revenue, they will be willing to produce larger scale games (although at an increased price).
