what i want to see in one of these updates is "reverse internet tethering"!, i think we should be able to do online things via the ipod touch without wifi.

Yarn – you say it is absolutely the developers fault if their game doesn't run well on the new 3.0 because Apple gave them plenty of time to get their game ready for the 3.0 launch. Yes that's true BUT…..

Developers like Miraphonic (Epic Pet Wars) knew that there was a problem with their game and they submitted a patch that would make their game compatible with 3.0. They submitted it over 3 weeks ago… and it still hasn't been approved. The same is true for other developers.

Yarn, what you are forgetting is that Apple has a closed platform where they are they only gatekeepers for all content flowing to the iPhone/iPod Touch. And therefore Apple bears some responsibility when the software they push out to customers breaks other apps that already have submitted updates, but those updates are STILL waiting on the apple approval process.

Some of the developers even put "3.0 fixes, etc" wording in their submission so that Apple would know that this was specific to making the app work with 3.0 and yet Apple hasn't approved them or fast tracked them through the approval process.

This is surprising…I click the update icon on the store and I get a message which says this item is not yet available in the Indian store.

Are you sure you're looking at the correct store?

There is about a 10% fps drop on Open GL games. Games that were pushing on the limits to get good fps updates will now stutter, and in some cases unplayable.

The update's not out in India. Will be another two weeks before it releases here. I wonder why the delay. Btw checked with Apple Care India, so it's authentic info.
