Gameloft's 'Let's Golf' and 'Asphalt 4' Now Just $0.99

Both Let's Golf [link] and Asphalt 4 [link] have dropped from $4.99 all the way down to $0.99.
We were reasonably impressed with Asphalt 4 when it came out back in September 2008. A number of better racing games have come out since then, but it's still going to be hard to beat for only $0.99.
Meanwhile, Let's Golf is a much more recent title and received a rave review as a high quality arcade-style sports game for the iPhone:

I wasn't even considering buying it to be honest, ever…but for 99 cents
now suddenly having a golf game on my device doesn't seem to bad
but I am pretty satisfied with NFS
Oh… I had my eye on Let's Golf for a while. I have a theory as to why Gameloft is offering these games for so cheep: either they saw the success of the Peggle sale and decided to try their luck or they are trying to get a huge install base to then offer a 3.0-compatible update offering tacks or courses as paid expansions. Either way, it's a crazy good bargain you can't say no to.
Possible the former theory may have some merit. Asphalt 4 is all she wrote, particularly with Asphalt 5 coming out (which WILL use OS3.0 features). Let's Golf, well we'll see.

"Let's Golf!" for a buck is a steal. A must buy if you dont have it already!
As I read the article about EA's games dropping $3 in price I thought to myself, "Move them down to $.99 and I'll be interested" …it's nice that a company actually did this. I think I'll pick them up
The racing game looks hard to control. Not…..why don't these developers figure out that what makes a game fun is being able to EASILY CONTROL your vehicle….duh!
The steering wheel is only one of three control options…
Have them both already ..haven't really found a moment to play them properly tho. The racing game never grabbed me somehow. I decided to stick with Fastlane instead. I thought the golf one was well done. Good controls that are all touch based, no motion-sensing thank god.
I must say: steering wheel was the only control method I found usable. The other two (slider and buttons) just felt weird.
I'm planning to get Let's Golf but I'm not sure if I'll like it or not. I am not a big fan of golf games, so I'm not sure whether I'm going to enjoy it or not.

Dude, just get it! At 99 cents, this game is a mega steal. It's not as good or realistic as Tiger Woods Golf, but it is, nonetheless, a very fun game too play. Great graphics too. Tiger Woods Golf is also a steal at $6.99.
I have been very disappointed with two Gameloft games already (Asphalt4 and Siberian Strike). I'm not getting the golf game even though I really want it. Asphalt4 used to work great! After some update all went to crap. Couldn't get previous versions.
Siberian Strike controls are terrible!
Bought Let's Golf, and while I can't fault it for it's beautiful graphics and fair casual gameplay the sound is just Godawful. The music went off straight away, but the voices and sfx sounds like they came out of a low budget SNES game. I can't even seperate out the voices! Ugh.
Glad it was only $1.19. Is Tiger Woods on sale yet? Might have a look at that instead.
Does anyone recommend getting both lets golf and tiger woods at their sale prices? It seems like a good deal but i dont know if i need both.
Tiger Woods is great, but I really wish they had included an option that is in the Wii Tiger Woods 10 – the ability to set how many days are in a tournament. Having to play the same course 4 times in a row is certainly realistic, but for a video game it gets to be a chore. I wish I could set tournaments to 2 games – that is a *lot* more fun. When you get to the 3rd round and finally to the 4th, I find myself just wanting the tournament to be over. So once I finish the tournament I tend to stop playing the game for a while. However, eventually I go back to it and it is a lot of fun again. So… I recommend it, but with that caveat. Maybe they'll add a tournament length option in an update, but I'm not sure what their history for game updates is like. I fear not so hot.
I enjoy Let's Golf, but won't purchase another GL game until they make some attempts to fix the annoying bugs there first. Multiplayer is extremely buggy.
I will never forgive Gameloft for what they did to Asphalt 4. Used to be a beauty to control via the accelerometer, but after the last update the accelerometer controls were completely butchered. Way, way, way too sensitive.
The price went up on the Australian iTunes store today… still shows as 0.99c on their website tho… annoying thing was I was trying to buy it when it was cheap and it was 'locked for modification' for over two hours
