It's so annoying. Firemint assumes that I have five friends with an iPhone that I can get up here in my apartment so we can play Real Racing locally?! What the hell are they consuming?
Like Mac said, we need online multiplayer.

Damn ..maybe I have to buy this. I'm trying to save money, but I love racing games. And they keep making this one better and better. Not sure how I'm gonna convince my cheap brother to buy it to so I have someone to game against though.

Looks like Firemint (unlike EA) have plans to update their new and excellent racing app: Real Racing! (which i think is a MUST buy )

I think its only a matter of time before developers start offering proper Wifi over WAN. Much like the NDS, someone has to start the trend and the rest will follow based on popularity.

The only thing it really needs though is a friends list/tracker and Im not sure how they'd implement that on a phone but perhaps it could be uniquely tied to your phone number & email address?

Either way the more development in the Wifi space the better, people seem to forget its still early days for the iPhone as a gaming platform but its gathered pace at an alarming rate. Give it time…

As for this news… great stuff. I respect Firemint as a developer simply because they dont put out a game till they deem its "ready" and support it fully there after. 6 player Wifi is great, with Firmware 3.0 knocking on the door lets also add Bluetooth?

hopefully with 3.0 they will work in bluetooth multiplayer too, in case there is no wifi network present.

As it is the game is great. A minimap and more car variation would be great but the gameplay is there, they really got tilt controls down.
