First 'Wolfenstein RPG' Gameplay Video

Japanese iPhone site AppBank has managed to take a gameplay video of Wolfenstein RPG which is being published by Electronic Arts.
The game was apparently available for a short time in the Japanese App Store but has since been pulled.

The game must be coming soon.
Why is this one EA and the other ID? Anyone familiar with this game? I don't remember this 'RPG' version.
It's actually an old game for ancient mobile phones. This version though has high-res graphics.
Regarding EA and iD, EA is the publisher, iD is the development house, they have been in publishing partnership with EA for a while now.

Wonder how it got out in Japan and we've heard nothing about it here in the US????

Doesn't change the fact that this is an upgraded version with higher definition textures.

i wasn't complaining about it. i really liked that game. i just hope, they put new contents in it, if not its not worth buying for me…
errrrrrrrr… i really hope are just gonna add the wolf 3d controls to this because currently that looks horrendous to play.
The person demonstrating it is…well…a moron, really. There's no nicer way to put it.
The controls in Wolfenstein Classic aren't necessary for this sort of game. This one is really a turn based RPG, not an FPS at all. Attacks don't happen in "real time" per se. Instead, you move, the enemy then moves. It just seems like an action game because the moves happen very quickly.
If you've ever had the chance to play Orcs & Elves or DOOM RPG (also by id) you'd understand what I mean. Quick turns, etc. aren't needed because the gameplay doesn't call for them.

This seems to function as a turn-based (classic) RPG, and less like a real-time/shooter. Keep that in mind.
The only thing I have heard about this is inside Need For Speed: Undercover, if you click on the EA games icon, it lists Wolf RPG as 'coming soon'.

I love the updated graphics. I wish they would redo Doom as well but do both of the games as a shooter and not RPG.
Wolf 3d is out, Doom is being worked on, Quake III is already working in a prototype form ..and they're being done within ID itself, not contracted out. So I don't think you have much of a wait before Doom arrives.
The video is painful to watch. The guy has his left thumb sitting RIGHT next to the control pad, but he uses his right hand to press the buttons? Probably one of the worst game demonstration videos a website could possibly release.
Graphics look great. I loved Doom RPG. I hope this will be as good!

Well, another RPG, port or not, is welcome anytime at the App Store. In particular, a somewhat contemporarily-themed RPG looks interesting. Cheer EA and Apple for this slip!

Like Wolfenstein 3D it won't be released here in Germany, due to the SS runes and other Nazi symbols.
Afaik there are no SS-runes or swastikas in WRPG…Anyway, the original J2ME-version wasn´t released to the german market because of the trouble id was experiencing with previous titles of the wolfenstein series. It´s a shame…Carmack does a really good job creating games for mobiles.
This must be set to pop, here in the US, any SECOND!

Wolfenstein RPG also appeared briefly in the Australian store.
So, i guess Doom RPG should also be coming?
This game rocks! I played it on my mobile… Hope DooM 1 and 2 comes soon
