Man the Sex Appeal in NFS games really bores me >.>

Some games are meant to be on an the iDevices, and some arn't. Im going to have to take a big pass on this one, and play Midnight Club: LA on the PS3 >.>

Though it would be cool to have this game, I dont justify the pricing and the game length, not to mention little to no replay value. I mean I give EA credit for being able to make a game run so smoothly on the iDevices, but alas, I think I will stick to something else. Nice work though, just not for me.

After having beaten the game and replaying until I got all the cars I wanted, I find it has little replay value. The final island (hardness level) only has 2 real race maps that you use your own car, both of them circuit races. I found the game pretty fun with great graphics, and I got a little more than a week's play out of it. The computer ai is pretty lame in some cases; it's amazingly hard to complete a chasedown (the one where you have to wreck another car) when the other car is constantly running head-on into other cars. Also it's pretty hard to see the darker colored cars in tunnels, but that's not a big deal and may be by design. Customization is pretty limited, the decals provided suck.

I hope there will be an update with more levels (maybe some point to point races or hell even just a 1/4 mile or track so you can race without other cars). There will never be a free roam mode, because there is not enough ram for the level of graphics in this game. There would have to be constant load screens which defeats the purpose of free roam.

Why would a 1st Gen Touch be sad? The only faster iDevice is the 2nd Gen.

I finally succumbed because of all the hype here. And it is a fun game. but it is pretty darn easy. Evading the cops is so easy it is a joke. You simply have to beat them to the finish line but they can be right behind you and you have "evaded them" to the safe house. Not at all like Carbon where evading is much more difficult. The tracks seem very similar as well. On the plus side the graphics are very nice for an iPhone game, but I have seen better. I would say Assassin's Creed is more finished. As much as people want to declare it, this is not a PSP killer. The PSP is still a better pure gaming platform with better graphics and controls. That said, Sony should be very worried as the iPhone can do so much more than the PSP and it is slowly catching up in terms of gameplay.

The Game is fun for now. I think I'll probably beat it in less than 4 hours. Hope EA updates it with Free Roam and more "events" otherwise this is a 4 out of 5 star game.

I've managed to reach speed 540 km/h on GT2.

If you want to do it too, you will need:
1) Buy GT2 and fully upgrade it.
2) Then load from options menu training map.
3) When your next move will be to make a slipstream behind a car, you will need long straight part of the road and then make double nitro :)

I have zonda already, dont waste your time. Just buy carrera, they are almost identical but carrera more beautiful.

Good luck :)

I don't disagree. I think that perhaps I'm typical of iPod users in that I keep a variety of games on my Touch. For sure it does not compare to, say, GT3 on Playstation played with a wheel and pedals, but sometimes you just want a taste. And from that perspective, the best of the Touch/Phone games are good enough. I mean consider the tiny screen and controls method. All other things aside, it's certainly different from a console game in that critical aspect and as a result not really directly and totally comparable. But can they be enjoyable? Absolutely.

...but is it even really that good? Or 'good for an iphone racer'?

The latter means the game can still be crap compared to real racing games. I'd rather play Rolando or Zen Bound on my touch and a racing game on my computer or other system. These games that are watered down, compromised attempts at real console games are massively underwhelming imo.

Why should they (me)? If I wanted to play only while tethered to a console in my living room, I'd have an XBox or PS3. What I want is a well-made game that I can play on my iPod Touch while I'm standing in line at the Post Office or waiting to see my dentist.

They must've intentionally delayed it because they knew NFS will beat the shoot out of Real Racing. They chickened out!

Now they're back to drawing board trying to better NFS from all aspects while also waiting for the hype to die down.

@menom:
Both are solid title. I still like Aqua Moto, but this feels more like a complete console game. Everything about it.
