this is a sweet game, i've gotten bored of other iPhone games within a few days but keep coming back to this one. i think it's challenging because it does take strategy. do you get more health, save it for a weapon, or get more amo? really like the advanced weaponry but never made it past level 21.

ok, I've deleted and re-downloaded for a second time and it seems to be working better. Either that or I've just learned to play it despite the glitches, who knows. I still think it's poor execution of a great concept but not the unplayable game it originally was for me.

Right now I'd probably give it 3 stars and I've deleted my original bad review from the appstore. I'm gonna wait to review it again until the next update in hopes that the bugs will be straightened out so I can rate it a 4 or 5.

I enjoy the game and only suffered minor lag in the initial version of the game.

I know it seems to go against the grain, but what I like about only a 'single' type of enemy (besides the difference in color) is that you can see the effects of the various weapons.

Honestly, thats what the game is all about, getting all of the weapons. Once you do that, the game is pretty much done. Its silly we have such high standards for games, especially ones that are only .99 cents! It's not even worth the money to complain about!

@ people who responded to me

IDK how your game is working fine for you but it IS unplayable for me. It doesn't lag just a little, it lags A LOT to the point of being unplayable. The lag kills me everytime, freezing up when i get close to zombies to the point where my shots don't register as shots yet the zombies still can get me. Also, sometimes the whole thing freezes up and the music skips for 5-10 seconds at a time. I even deleted and reinstalled. Are you guys using iphones or touches? maybe it runs better on a touch.... Obviously I can only go by how it plays for me, on my iphone and I promise you that if you play what I play you'd feel the same way. And I'm not the only one that has this problem, if you check the reviews there are plenty that have the same problem. Maybe I should try reinstalling again.

and as for the truck vs. grenade comparison I wasn't actually comparing the games themselves, just comparing a decent FREE game that gets flamed in the reviews while a paid game with bugs all over it gets praised like it's the next mario. and honestly, there are A LOT of retards posting reviews, just check sully's flight and you'll see.

but honestly, like I said, I see it has a lot of potential and it would likely be my favorite game if it weren't for the said bugs. I'm keeping it on my phone in hopes they get their act together and release an update soon.

What? The game is unplayable to you? I know there is lag but not to the extent that it is unplayable. If the game is unplayable what with the good rating in the App Store? 1500+ of retarded reviewer? I guess you are wrong there. Doesn't mean the game is bad on you don't make other people who praise the game to be retarded.

Remember, everyone got their own opinion and opinion does not equal fact.

@ Paul in NC
if you exit out to the main menu it saves your progress, sort of. It starts you over at the begining of the last level you were on.

As far as graphics/unplayability, yes the downgrade in graphics was a bummer, considering i never had lag problems with the first. I love the new additions in the update however, so if those graphics can get fixed we are in bussiness! I also agree with wanting to see a bit more variety in the game. other characters/outfits, different level themes. Love the game as is, all this would just make it that much more fun.

Great game, but it could be greater. The number-one item I would LOVE to see is the ability to save the game if you have to stop playing (phone call, someone at the door, time to go eat, time to go to work, etc.) I mean, come on devs, how hard would it be to add a save game feature?

@matthelm
I'd like to suggest the same to iDracula. I'd wish that game would have the orientation as Zombieville. I use an iPod Touch and the headphones are located at the bottom right. Hence if the screen tilts to the right (as in iDracula), the headphone jack sometimes makes it uncomfortable for the directional circle-pad on the left side. The orientation of Zombieville is perfect for the Touch. I guess the best solution would be to allow the screen to reorient depending on how you hold the device, as the case seems to differ per device as you've mentioned.

@crsrc
The game is unplayable? You've got to be kidding. The game lags but it doesn't lag to the point that you get killed because of it. I've played it dozens and dozens of times already and the lag that happens a few times is not the irritating type of lag wherein the frames still continue to move but at a very slow rate, and then the controls don't respond very well. The lag in Zombieville is a quick freeze. Everything stops for a second. It's a problem that hopefully can be fixed but to be honest, I really don't mind. It's never bothered me yet. But calling it unplayable? Jeez! Such high standards. And then mentioning it in the same breath as Truck vs Grenades?!! I can't understand it. That game is such a low-budget game. I'm not saying it's awful, but neither would I call it well-polished!!

the bottom line is the game is unplayable. They need to fix the lags and bugs before they worry about adding features. I really can't understand how it gets such great reviews...People are retarded...They'll give a poorly coded paid game like this 5 stars but then trash a well polished free game like truck vs. grenade as if the developers raped their sister.

The sad thing is I can tell this game has great potential but the devs obviously just don't know what they are doing.

Note to developers....if you design a game that requires it to be played in landscape mode please be aware that when rolling the iphone to the left the speaker gets covered by your hand. You lose the sound of the game and whats worse is that you think that you can solves this problem by using headphones...wrong! When you plug in the headphones they end up getting in the way of left hand interacting with the screen! Please make game playable when tilting the phone to the right....easy?
