Just bought Binary Game.
The blue Facebook Connect spoils the front. It looks tacked on, the colour is wrong for the design. And I'll be honest as a non-FB user I don't want to see it. Not everyone wants to be in FB. Please update the game and have some way of either dismissing it permanently or putting it on the About page, or make another page where it could sit.
It spoils the presentation, it spoils the game.

Another game that is implementing it right now (in testing phase) is Toobz- the good 'ol water pipe type game. I love being able to see what my friends are doing with their iPhones on Facebook- smart.

And to Mark, it's totally optional in this case. You can register a new account if you want, or not register anything at all. You're never prompted to register.

While not a game, the app Urbanspoon just updated with FB connect. It's kinda cool. I don't need to register another user name. when I use my FB log in it shows my other people on my FB friends list who are also users of Urbanspoon. And when I rate or review a restaurant it shows up in my FB mini feed if I want it to. I can really see this being useful.

If this 'feature' is in my face then I'll not buy any app with it.

Make it an option, put it on another screen, let me switch it off.

If every time I turn it on I see the blue button, or every time I get a high score I get prompted to upload / share on FB then I see that as an advert. I won't use FB (been there, seen the crap, quit). Nice it may be and some will love it but right now from what I see there is no way I'm buying Binary Game (for example) because I really do not want the FB stuff in there.

i like the idea to a degree, but between all the annoying twitter messages and over-jealous facebook apps posting garbage it seems a little much like overkill.

This is a step to a right direction, but it ain´t xbox live.. It would be lovely if app store games would have a "connectivity layer" behind. friends list, now playing, join game, send message, form a group, compare achievements, share user created content (replays, maps) Nokia ngage2 platform has some of these features and it works lovely, but i sold my crappy nokia n95 in order to buy the iPhone 3g =)

Well that was just a big daydream of features we will never see on iTouch platform.

About this facebook score posting. would all my non-iphone gamers see those generated "New highscore!!11" posts? They might get cranky with it.

Hi - I am the developer of Binary Game. As Andy posted above, we have also added Facebook Connect features to the game.

Basically you can now post all your scores directly on facebook, and shout out all your friends when you beat their scores :) The game will prompt you to post a feed story (one touch publishing) when you get a new high score! (if you want to try it, it's avail here http://bit.ly/b1nary )

Facebook Connect brings a whole new level of social interaction to the iPhone and iPod Touch.

We'll be seeing a ton of apps support Facebook Connect in the next few weeks - very exciting :)

let's see...i'm quite sceptic that these generic social network integrations bring anything else than nice PR for first game companies that utilize them. maybe some game developers get something, if their facebook friend-list contains many other developers. but in generic terms, most of the people at facebook are there to build their personal connection-book and see/hear what some of the active facebook-friends have been doing. 99% of the facebook applications get less than "few hundred users", even though there are over 100 million users in facebook...! Best for game developers just to focus all their energy just to develop great and/or surprisingly new games.
