this is good but i don't think alternate ways thru a story really compel me as a viewer - did anyone see the Crimeface interactive movie? it does something smilar but you never really leave the story... that's my £0.02

Two things are worth noting about Alternate Endings that make it a superior offering in the field of interactive movies:

1. The narrative pathways created are all fairly tight from a story structure perspective. Every little piece of each scene pays off in later scenes. Example: the security guard is watching an old detective movie--not only does this set up the security guard as a wannabe cop, but later on the security guard faces the same choice as the tv detective did.

2. You can jump back to any of your decision point after the movie finishes with the menu provided that tells you what you did. You can, but need not, go back through the entire movie. You can selectively choose which decision point to change, and proceed from there. This also illustrates that each decision point sends you down a different narrative path, none of which are dead ends.

My $0.02.

Hope to see more of these types of projects.

As a big Sega CD fan, I'm really looking forward to this game! While a cool concept, the Sega CD had low quality video and awkward pauses between scene changes. This game is the same concept, but with much better execution.

What I'd really love to see is an official "Saw" game for the iPod with this gameplay. Hate on the movies if you'd like, but you have to agree that this would make a great Saw game.
