TouchGrove is giving away LED Football [App Store] for free this weekend in celebration of the Super Bowl.

Here at touchGrove we want to make this the BEST SUPER BOWL SUNDAY ever! That's why we are giving away LED Football *FREE* for 48 hours, starting Friday, 1/30/09 12:00 PST. LED Football will be FREE in the App Store for 48 hours. With all the the original bleeps, blips and blops.

The game was originally sold at $0.99 and provides a detailed simulation of the 1970's handheld electronic game. TouchGrove has followed the title up with LED Football 2 [App Store].

    It keeps saying "Store Credit Unavailable" even though it's listed as free. It won't let me make the purchase/download.

    Is that just me? I didn't have any store credit, and I wouldn't need it for a free App anyway... So I'm a bit confused.

    Just played this, and I think you'll be better off getting LED Football 2. The version that's free this weekend has no passing, and you can't move backwards. Otherwise, get an actual Mattel football game from your toy store which I have. Nothing beats the real thing.

    Honesty, you need buttons with tactile response to get the original feeling of playing this game. The up arrow seems to respond poorly. I was able to try out the flash version (sorry, can't recall the link) and that was much more fun.
