Hellfire is an exciting helicopter combat game that takes you on a worldwide tour of duty. Climb aboard your helicopter gunship and take on 16 missions of adrenaline-fuelled combat action in a global theater of war.

Features listed by the developer:

  • Worldwide missions to complete, including multiple objectives per mission.
  • Choice of full Campaign or single Mission modes.
  • Choice of US or Soviet helicopters, both with realistic weapon loadouts and capabilities.
  • Varied gameplay with multiple levels of challenge.
  • Combination of accelerometer and touchscreen controls.
  • 3D terrain and enemies, along with high quality pre-rendered helicopter models.
  • Dynamic sound effects and music soundtrack, or switch them off and listen to your own music.
  • Tutorial mode to help you master the controls for your 'copter.

Hellfire was created by Pazzazz Games, who developed GTS World Racer for the iPhone.  Hellfire will land in the App Store soon (no solid date has been announced).  Stay tuned for a closer look.

Oh another one to buy. Wish the ship would tilt left or right a little when you turn, that would look even better.

Someone mentioned Blue Skies. This totally looks like a 3D version of that (and the EA Strike games that Blue Skies takes after). And with the picking up of troops, etc., it also looks like those rescue copter games of old. Looking forward to it.

I had this on my Palm (my Zodiac 2 - none of you have heard of it) it was fun better than there racing game but yes it would be better if the vehicle would show some more movement when turning and such.

  9. Redstar Says:

I'll be buying this…..I agree with slappy: the aircraft should pitch with the tilting, instead of turn like a car. Also I didn't notice a tilt gesture to troll backwards, I'd like to see that

Speaking of the EA Strike series, the chopper always pitched in every direction.

this game came out for Palm like 5 years ago! Don't get too excited you guys, this is another ripoff in the waiting! The game was fun, but man i'm pissed i'll have to pay for it again!

It also came out on Windows Mobile 4 years ago. I didn't like it: it wasn't that good in my opinion. Astraware, STOP PORTING 4 YEAR OLD CRAP! That goes double for you PDA Mill.
