I had been resisting buying a new game because nothing out there looks like a true game..something we might see on PSP etc...today I made the mistake of buying TouchSports Teniis. Anyone who says that this is a real console game has got to be kidding. We should not wait for updates for games to be good, they should be good when we first get them. I guess you get what you pay for when a game is only $1.99. If you want to be bored in 2.5 seconds then get this game. There is no control of the players beyond tapping the screen to move them to a spot. What a joke. The ball moves at a snails pace and the options are VERY limited.

Yeah, some of that will change dramatically in the v1.02 update...

But, yes, one wishes the gameplay were more closely on par with the graphics. I do think they should have waited until the v1.02 was complete before submitting the game at all. Word of mouth and blog reviews of the initial App store release do a lot to carry the longterm sales of the product, except for those games that came out in July when nothing else was around.

At this point, HHG will have to climb an uphill battle to get the game recognized again with future improved updates, which may very well bring it into the realm of a true console game...

Still, at $1.99, and with the active involvement of the developers in this Forum, you may at length feel that you landed a bargin...hopefully.

Can we get censorship of the words "true console game" in posts containing any numerical value under $19.99?

    There's no wisdom to it.

LOL... Like any game would sell a copy at 19.99 on the iPod touch or iPhone. Get real! They are talking on the look, feel, game play and production value. DOH!! Considering these guys aren't EA or Gameloft - this game ROCKS!

I picked up both of these at this price and I've been having a great time with both. For $1.99 it's tough to make the argument that you're not getting a PSP quality title. Raging Thunder is a great game that should make any racing fan happy. I've played quite a few racing games on the DS and thy were complete stinkers compared to this. Touch Tennis could use a lot of work but it looks like they're on the right track and it's hard not to recommend it at this price. The controls do take a bit of getting used to but they weren't frustrating enough to turn me off the game completely.

From HHG; re Touch Sports Tennis:

Hey Folks - grab your update - it's out there. Although it's called 1.0.1 - it incorporates all of the fixes that went into 1.0.2.

So - here's the update list:

    - Increased frame rate on older hardware.
    - Improvements to ball physics.
    - Point accurate ball control
    - Enhanced Player A/I.
    - BugFixes to handling of message events
    - Interface adjustment and tweaks
    - Save / Restore game state on exit
    - Access game options from settings panel
    - Faster loading
    - Enhanced performance and stability

1.0.2 was also just submitted with:
    - User defined graphics performance
    - Reduced ball speed for easy difficulty
    - Increased FPS on iPhone 3G

By popular request, were finishing off the Male Player and will hopefully have a submission in by the end of the week containing the new art.

    Thx!
