UNO Gameplay Video and Online Multiplayer
posted by arn on November 18th, 2008 3:48 PM EST in $7.99, Card, iPhone games, iPod touch gamesGameloft has provided a gameplay video for their new Uno title we reported the other day.
Overall, the iPhone version of Uno is relatively well implemented, but one of its most compelling features is Online Multi-player play. This means that aside from playing over local Wi-Fi, you can reach out to play others on the internet. (Because, let's be realistic, how many of you are sitting out there playing iPhone games with others in the same room.)

There were no players available when we tested this on the first day of its release, but just today were able to play a few games with some random internet players. Note that you must be on a Wi-Fi connection to play online.

Scary hands!
Second only to Apple's tree-frog patent hands.
If they dropped the price and made it playable like live poker or chess live I would try it.
@Nagromme:
That's the first thing I thought too! Didn't even pay attention to the game. Why couldn't they just get a hand model instead of wasting time to make pathetic, abominations of hands?
I like the card game UNO, and would possibly consdider getting this at a slightly lower price. I think that video did not help too much, as I honestly could barely tell what they were doing.
Oh, don't forget the demon hands from another Apple patent:

They know how to make good industrial designs, but they have no idea what they're doing when drawing anatomically correct organic shapes.
Excellent implementation. I played a multiplayer game earlier and won in 5 turns.
I can't believe I paid $7.99 for this, but it was well worth it. I loved the version on my Xbox 360, and this version is equally as enjoyable.
This game is absolutely amazing. I just cant put my phone down. It take a couple games to learn all the different games but once u know it, you play for hours. and the internet multiplayer mode is the icing on the cake.
I've gotta say, after playing more, I'm pretty impressed. This is one of the most well made iPhone apps I've seen yet. Go gameloft…
