yeah, I agree. I will go on the record and say that this is the best version of Missile Command ever, because of the multi-touch. It just takes it to an entire level not possible before. Can't wait to see what Atari does next with Missile Command. I would love to see a versus mode over wi-fi.

I'm all about retro games, but I never liked Missile Command, really. I like the iPhone incarnation, however. I like Missile Command for the first time, here.

Absolutely fantastic.. If Apple ever bundle a game with the iPod touch this should be it..
Bill - The green missile needs a direct hit, and the spaceships take a few missiles to destroy.
It loads pretty quickly so is a perfect game for quick plays and remembers where you left it (exactly).
Just wish I didn't have to choose to pick game music or iPod music EVERY time!
Think I prefer the classic gameplay a little more over the enhanced version.. since the action is happening so fast you really don't have time to stop and see how pretty it is.

Excellent version. MUST BUY.

How do you destroy an enemy green missle? When I explode my missles around them, all they do is move. Is this the tactic? Push them so that they don't hit a city? btw can you destroy a spaceship?

Missles AWAY.
Bill.

it's a good game. The harder difficulty requires you to select the silo you are shooting from. In the end, it is still a rather simple game, of course.

Is it just me or is Missile Command not as fun without the original control scheme? Using three buttons and a track ball made for very intense and challenging play; it's hard to find an original cabinet but I know it keeps me there for a mess of quarters when I do. Newer versions I've played seems kinda slow and mindless.

Any die hard original missile command players that can recommend this version?

@Biggles: That happened to me when my credit card expiration date came up, and I had to enter in the new one. Maybe that's the case for you?
