Hudson has released a demo version of Puzzloop called Puzzloop Free [App Store].

Puzzloop is the original "match-three-of-a-king" circular puzzler released in 1998. The player controls a turrett in the middle of the screen that is surrounded by an inward-spiraling track on which a string of balls of varying colors close in on you. The objective: fire colored balls at the incoming string of balls in order to create groups of three or more that eliminate upon contact. Overall, we found the game to be fun and well executed (if you like this sort of game). Our full review also includes a gameplay video.

The free version is rather light and only contains a few levels, but if you are on the fence about purchasing the game, it may be able to help you decide. The full version of the game costs $7.99 [App Store].

I tried the demo and it's a nice game. But some little details (visual andsound design, progression..) keep me from buying it. Get the demo, but wait for Zuma (PopCap's version of the game).

I was not the one that reviewed the game before. I tried the demo. found it too short. I think demos need to be long enough to "hook" you.

I want this one--not Zuma--simply because this is evidently from the ORIGINAL creators of the much-copied concept. Can anyone confirm that that's the case?

I just wrote them saying I would buy it if it had a colorblind mode like Trism and reMovem (so I can actually play it). However, i would also buy it If they lowered the price to 3 euros ($4), since my girlfriend is a fan of Puzzloop.

I bought it and like it more than the too childish Bubble Bash, but overall I loved Actionloop on the Nintendo DS and Puzzloop is too colorfull and therefore too chaotic. I hope that Zuma will go more into the Actionloop direction.
