Dasch, thanks for taking the time to post. It's great to know you're actively working on updates while also listening to feedback from people that are buying the game.

I've got to say, I've been pretty impressed recently by some of the developers that have taken the time to post answers and updates here on touchArcade.

Keep up the great work!

My 2 cents:

Personnaly i prefer when, at the end of the review, the reader feel the feeling of the author and know what to do. This way, with experience the reader know more and more the afinity of the tester.
Its make more sense to me, again, subjectively.

Hey arnold..

You ever think about putting a buy or not feature on the reviews? like...

Recommend:
Buy

Recommend:
Hold off

Recommend:
Don't Buy

I think it would be useful.

looks like (before updates) it could really get boring but for 1.99 and free updates it might endup being worthwhile!

Hey guys, im one of the designers for FLOverload and just wanted to thank Touch Arcade for reviewing the game. Glad you guys liked it.

Regarding Updates:
Apple is taking a LONG time with the updates, our first update we submitted the day after the App Store launched and it took almost 2 weeks to post. We currently have 1 update in the cue.

Update 1.02: Added Directions, Added 25 more lvls, Balanced them out so the game gets harder, not easier in some cases, And fixed all final bugs.

Upcoming Updates:
1.03-1.04: 25-50 additional lvls, and we are going to integrate a lvl builder that people can design there own lvls and submit them to our game tracking system TouchCortex. So people can download them and play them.

Regarding Price: We will never raise the price... Never... So all updates in the future will be free... =)

Also at some point we are going to run some contests, we are still working out all the details but they will include prizes ranging from iTune's Gift cards to a new iPhone 3G or iPod Touch.

Either way rest assure we will continue to update and add features to FLOverload, so your $1.99 purchase will not be a waste after you get bored. We are all gamers ourselves and want to make sure that FLOverload has great replay value.

Thanks

Will the 1.0.2 update cost anything when it comes out, or when it does, will the developer raise the price of the app? Because if they won't do any of the two, I'll be probably just wait until the update to get it, if it really doesn't have that many levels.

@Matt: I was actually unaware of the shake feature when I shot the video, despite having played the game at length--another area where integrated instructions would have been nice (but that's coming in an update, as I mentioned in the post). I didn't feel it necessary to reshoot the video to illustrate this feature.

But, no -- one need not wait for the water to flow. The shake feature does work.

You have to sit and wait for the water to slowly flow through? If you can shake it to speed it up, why isn't that shown in the video? And why bother making you uncover all the pieces at the beginning?
