@mavis - yeah I did that about 100 times. Even tried with Apple support. Got my new phone last week and all seems ok. Like I said, who knows what caused it but the entire bootloader was fried. All I can verify 100% for sure is that it happened while playing Labyrinth.

The latest update of the full app, has a much more satisfying feel, when the ball goes into the hole, and can now 'ride' the edges, like a golf ball.
All it needs now, are some sounds.

Oh yeah, and you don't need a new phone. Just hold down power+home until the phone powers off. Then, hold down the home button as you plug your iPhone into your PC. Continue to hold the home button until the phone enters (DFU?) restore mode. Again, it's not the phone or the apps - it's Apple's buggy software. A new phone will change nothing. ;)

@ Rob: it's not the game, mate - it's the phone (or more precisely, sloppy iTunes coding on Apple's part) ... I've restored two iPhone 3Gs a total of 29 times since July 11th, the only time I've been able to actually update apps without freezing and then hanging at the Apple logo after a reboot is when I finally deleted all of my apps from iTunes, disabled app syncing, and added them one by one on the iPhone itself.

If you have any doubts, check out Apple's support forums. Lots of people having EXACTLY the same problem, blaming every app under the sun - it's not the apps. It's Apple's buggy software. ;)

No clue. It worked fine for the first 10 days I had it then with the hang, the OS was clearly fried.

Rob: I'd venture a guess that you got a faulty iPhone, rather than a game that broke your iPhone.

I loved Labyrinth Lite until it crashed my iPhone. I was about 5 levels in, the game hung my iPhone 3g non-jailbroken phone. Upon reboot it would never get past the Apple logo. I even spent 2 hours with Apple tech support and there was no way to reflash it. In the end, I am waiting for a new phone to replace the dead one. Cost me nothig but lots of time and grief.

I bought Jirbo's Marble Mash and just downloaded Labyrinth Lite. Of the two, Labyrinth is much better. Even though, Marble Mash has 150 levels, they are pretty lousy after you get past level 12. It feels like they were just generated at random. Plus, Marble Mash is just downright ugly. They need to seriously work on their graphic design. Labyrinth looks better and feels a lot smoother.

I don't think it's worth $7 for the full version, though. This is a great game to show off the accelerometer on the iPhone to your friends, but it's really too simple to occupy your time for more than a few minutes. I got through all ten levels in about two minutes
