Instead of grumbling, why don't you post the iTunes link? :)

Dave, Don't worry. I am sure most users will browse and look at all the titles, specially now that the store is so new.

You are VERY fortunate to be part of the initial wave of games to make it into the iTunes store. I am sure your game will sell.

Now, talking about frustration ... my band ... Cafe al Mediodia really is IMPOSSIBLE to find in iTunes (unless you look for it by name). There are MILLIONS of songs and percentage-wise we are a very small part. Your odds of being found are MUCH BETTER :-)

Good Luck to all early developers of the iPhone. I hope you all make a TON OF MONEY !!!!

I agree with Dave, there's some pretty big issues with the current App Store implementation. Fortunately having released a free game (Spinner Prologue), we're in a category with just 14 other games (assuming you browse through iTunes).

If you're browsing via your iPhone or iPodTouch, then the only way you can find our game, along with the ~145 other games that aren't in the "games" category, is by manually searching for Spinner.

It's not been all fun and games for developers - especially as a games developer. Our iPhone game, "iDrops", isn't one of the eight featured puzzle games, and so we're virtually impossible to find on the App Store. After all the effort put into developing the game, it's very frustrating.

I've posted some comments (and grumbles) from a game developer's perspective here:

And you can try iDrops for free (on your Mac / PC) here:
