Also, here is another "indie" game developer that is developing games for the iPhone.... http://www.cocoatouchgames.com/

The developer (David Janik-Jones, founder of Widget Monkeys) isn't using Unity for these games, but he is a big Unity guy and will be using Unity for future games.

@Katy ... I'm a game developer and I use the Unity game engine. These games are real and really will be available on the iPhone/Touch once Unity is capable of targeting/compiling for the iPhone (which will happen after the iPhone SDK is officially released by Apple in June).

Also, downloading the iPhone SDK is a simple thing and doesn't require any strict NDA aggreements. The entire iPhone SDK and all of it capabilities are public information, nothing is being kept secret.

@Katy, If you check the two company websites mentioned, you can find screenshots of the games in question running on platforms other than the iPhone. The article mentions that the developers are waiting for the Unity export-to-iPhone function to arrive before the games exist as true iPhone apps. All that said, I believe the two provided screenshots shown are, in fact, mock-ups based on existing work.

I find this stuff hilarious and completely non-credible because it is very clear according to anyone that's been accepted by apple into the development program that there is a STRICT NDA, and NO DEVELOPER OR COMPANY IS ALLOWED TO RELEASE SPECS, SCREENSHOTS, DESCRIPTIONS, or any such thing to anyone outside the company, or any press, or any "news" website. If this company actually was accepted by Apple they would have their acceptance revoked immediately if this story were true.
